Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara sanitasi lingkungan rumah dengan personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah. Penelitian dilakukan di wilayah RW 01 Kegiren dan RW 02 Syechmagelung Kota Cirebon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Februari 2021. Penelitian ini melibatkan 98 Ibu Rumah Tangga yang memiliki anak usia prasekolah jenjang usia 3-6 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Sanitasi lingkungan rumah responden diukur menggunakan instrumen Environmental Cleanliness Clutter Scale (ECCS) yang dikembangkan dari Halliday & Snowdon (2009) serta Weinstein & David (1987) sedangkan personal hygiene diukur menggunakan instrumen A Scale for Measuring Hygiene Behavior yang dikembangkan oleh Stevenson et al (2009). Data yang telah dikumpulkan, diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial yaitu uji koefisien korelasi menggunakan pearson product moment dan uji signifikansi korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara sanitasi lingkungan rumah dengan personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah (r=0,294, p<0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa apabila sanitasi lingkungan rumah berada pada kategori bersih dan sehat maka personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah berada pada kategori bersih. Diharapkan Ibu Rumah Tangga dapat memfasilitasi sanitasi lingkungan rumah yang bersih dan sehat serta mengoptimalkan personal hygiene anak usia prasekolah untuk meningkatkan kualitas kesehatan dan tumbuh kembangnya. Kata Kunci: Anak Usia Prasekolah, Personal Hygiene, Sanitasi Lingkungan Rumah ********* ABSTRACT The study aims to analyze the relationship between home environmental sanitation and personal hygiene for preschool-aged children. The study was conducted in the region RW 01 Kegiren dan RW 02 Syechmagelung Cirebon City. Data collection was conducted in February 2021. The study involved 98 housewives who had preschoolers of 3-6 years old that choose the use of a purposive sampling method. Home sanitation have been measured using Environmental Cleanliness Clutter Scale (ECCS) instrument developed by Halliday & Snowdon (2009) and Weinstein & David (1987). Personal hygiene has been measured using A Scale for Measuring Hygiene Behavior instrument developed by Stevenson et al (2009). The data that has been collected is processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics namely the correlation coefficient using Pearson product-moment, correlation significance, and determination coefficient. The results showed there is a positive and significant relationship between home environmental sanitation and personal hygiene for preschool aged-children (r=0,294, p<0,05). These results indicate if the home environmental sanitation is in the clean and healthy category then the personal hygiene of preschool-aged children is in the clean category. Expected that housewives can facilitate the home's environmental sanitation clean and healthy. As well as optimizing personal hygiene preschooler-aged children to improve the quality of health and growth development.
