Abstract

Karya Tugas Akhir yang berjudul A Folded Wish adalah karya instalasi yang merepresentasikan perasaan euforia ketika jatuh cinta oleh kaum perempuan dan perupa. Cinta adalah salah satu bentuk emosi dasar manusia yang menjelaskan ketertarikan antar individu. Perempuan diciptakan dengan memiliki dimensi perasaan, sifat, karakteristik, serta perilaku yang berbeda dengan laki-laki dan dengan perempuan yang lain. Perasaan perempuan sebagai sumber ide penciptaan merupakan respon pribadi terhadap pengalaman cinta dan pengamatan lingkungan sekitar yang penuh dengan kisah percintaan. Setiap perempuan pernah merasakan jatuh cinta dan patah hati, bagi beberapa perempuan dalam mengungkapkan perasaan cinta sulit untuk dilakukan. Karya instalasi A Folded Wish diciptakan menggunakan estetika kontemporer yang menghadirkan objek lukisan figur perempuan dan benda-benda readymade. Pendekatan seni rupa kontemporer seperti teori estetika partisipatori digunakan dalam menyajikan puisi cinta yang dibuat oleh partisipator perempuan berusia remaja akhir hingga dewasa awal. Puisi cinta disampaikan dengan meminjam bentuk visual origami burung bangau dari budaya jepang dengan makna sebagai harapan, pada karya instalasi origami menjadi simbol harapan kaum perempuan. Karya instalasi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi refleksi perasaan dan pengalaman jatuh cinta yang dirasakan kaum perempuan dan perupa. Dibalik perasaan cinta yang dirasakan terdapat banyak harapan-harapan besar yang dimiliki oleh perempuan agar perasaannya dapat tersampaikan dengan baik kepada orang yang dituju. The Final Project entitled A Folded Wish is an installation work that represents the feeling of euphoria when falling in love by women and artists. Love is one of the basic human emotions that explains attraction between individuals. Women are created to have different dimensions of feelings, nature, characteristics, and different behavior with men and other women. Women's feelings as a source of creation ideas are a personal response to the experience of love and observation of the surrounding environment which is full of love stories. Women have a strong sense of affection for the people they love. Every woman has experienced falling in love and heartbreak, for some women it is difficult to express feelings of love. The installation work A Folded Wish was created using a contemporary aesthetic that presents painting objects of female figures and readymade objects. Contemporary art approaches such as participatory aesthetic theory are used in presenting love poems made by female participants in their late teens to early adulthood. The love poem is conveyed by borrowing the visual form of origami cranes from Japanese culture with the meaning as hope, in the installation work, origami becomes a symbol of hope for women. This installation work is expected to be a reflection of the feelings and experiences of falling in love that are felt by women and artists. Behind the feeling of love that is felt, there are many hopes that women have so that their feelings can be conveyed properly to the intended person.
