Abstract

Adversity Quotient merupakan pengukuran kemampuan seseorang dalam menghadapi kesulitan. Salah satu hal yang terikat dengan adversity quotient adalah hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam memahami suatu materi yang sulit pada mata pelajaran biologi merupakan salah satu penghambat siswa dalam mendapatkan hasil belajar kognitif yang maksimal. Adversity Quotient mampu memunculkan motivasi pada diri siswa sehingga dapat menyelesaikan setiap masalah yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara adversity quotient dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi sistem sirkulasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Cikarang Selatan pada siswa kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan studi korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 103 siswa dengan menggunakan teknik multistage random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan soal pilihan ganda untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif dan memberikan skala adversity untuk mengukur adversity quotient. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat hubungan positif antara adversity quotient dengan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi sistem sirkulasi dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,892. Adversity Quotient memberikan kontribusi sebesar 79,5% terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi sistem sirkulasi. Kata kunci. Adversity quotient, hasil belajar kognitif, pembelajaran biologi. Adversity Quotient is a measurement of a person's ability to face difficulties. One thing related to the adversity quotient is cognitive learning outcomes. Differences in students' ability to understand a difficult material in biology is one of the obstacles for students in getting maximum cognitive learning outcomes. Adversity Quotient is able to motivate students so they can solve every problem they face. This study aims to determine the relationship between adversity quotient and student’s cognitive learning outcomes on circulation system. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Cikarang Selatan in class XI students. The method used is a quantitative method with a correlational study. The research sample was 103 students using multistage random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by providing the instrument of multiple choice questions to measure cognitive learning outcomes and providing an adversity scale to measure Adversity Quotient. The results showed that there’s a positive relationship between adversity quotient and students' cognitive learning outcomes on the circulation system with 0.892 correlation coefficient.
