Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of perceived social support on the resiliency of employees who experienced layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used in this study is purposive sampling. The sample in this study consisted of 127 employees who were laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic and domiciled in DKI Jakarta. The instruments used in this study were the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). The result of this study indicates that there is a significant positive influence between perceived social support towards resiliency of employees who have experienced layoffs during the Covid-19 pandemic. This indicates the higher influence of perceived social support, the greater their resilience, and vice versa. The influence of perceived social support on the resilience of employees who have been laid off during the Covid-19 pandemic is 6%.
