Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to study the influence of leadership, trust and academic culture toward effective teaching of lecturers in Islamic State University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. This resarch used quantitative approach with survey method. The sample of this research is 220 lecturers of Islamic State University of Sultan Syarif Kasim which is appointed randomly from eight (8 ) faculties. The result of this study indicate that :1) leadership has positive direct effect on effective teaching, 2) trust has a positive direct effect on effective teaching, 3) academic culture has a positive direct effect on effective teaching, 4) leadership has a positive direct effect on academic culture, 5) trust has a positive direct effect on academic culture,and 6) leadership has a positive direct effect on trust.The conclusion of this research that effective teaching is influnced by leadership, trust and academic culture.
