Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola asuh orang tua terhadap kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru di Rumpun Ilmu Kesejahteraan Keluarga, Fakultas Teknik, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling sebanyak 120 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2021 dengan menggunakan metode survey berupa angket (kuesioner). Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial (uji regresi linear sederhana). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara pola asuh orang tua terhadap kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru. Sebesar 9,9% variasi variabel kompetensi kepribadian mahasiswa calon guru dapat dijelaskan oleh variasi variabel pola asuh orang tua. Sedangkan 90,1% lainnya dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak masuk dalam model regresi. Dengan demikian, penerapan pola asuh yang tepat dapat membentuk kepribadian yang baik pada mahasiswa. This study aims to determine the effect of parenting on the personality competencies of prospective teacher students. The research was conducted using quantitative methods with an associative approach. The population in this study were student teacher candidates at the Family Welfare Science Clump, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Jakarta. The sample was selected using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique as many as 120 students. Data collection was carried out from August to October 2021 using a survey method in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (simple linear regression test). The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect of parenting on the personality competencies of prospective teacher students. As much as 9.9% of the variations in the personality competence variables of prospective teacher students can be explained by variations in parenting style variables. While the other 90.1% can be explained by other variables that are not included in the regression model. Thus, the application of appropriate parenting patterns can form a good personality in students.
