Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai islam yang terkandung dalam Novel Lost In The USA karya Fathi Bawazier. Novel Lost In The USA merupakan salah satu novel inspiratif yang diterbitkan oleh PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama yang dicetak pertama pada tahun 2016 dan 2017 pada cetakan kedua. Yang menarik dari novel ini adalah kisah dalam novel ini merupakan kisah nyata perjalanan hidup sang penulis yang berjuang meraih mimpinya untuk menjadi orang berilmu yang mempunyai nilai jual yang tinggi. Adapun penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan bersifat tekstual yang diambil dari berbagai literature yang kemudian dikategorisasikan kedalam kategori primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik baca, teknik catat, dan teknik pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai islam yang ditemukan dalam novel Lost In The USA karya Fathi Bawazier adalah nilai akidah, nilai ibadah, dan nilai akhlak. Aspek akidah yang ditemukan yaitu iman kepada Allah, iman kepada kitab, dan iman kepada rasul. Aspek ibadah yang ditemukan yakni terkait dengan ibadah mahdhah dan ibadah ghairu mahdhah. Dan aspek akhlak yang ditemukan yakni akhlak terpuji yaitu menanamkan pendidikan agama dan senantiasa bersyukur. This study aims to identify and describe the values of Islamic contained in the novel Lost In The USA by Fathi Bawazier. Novel Lost In The USA is one of the inspirational novels published by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama which was first printed in 2016 and 2017 in the second printing. What's interesting about this novel is that the story in this novel is a true story of the author's life journey who struggled to achieve his dream to become a knowledgeable person who has a high selling value. This research is a library research using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources used are textual, taken from various literatures which are then categorized into primary and secondary categories. Data collection techniques were carried out by reading techniques, note-taking techniques, and library techniques. The results of this study indicate that the values of Islamic found in the novel Lost In The USA by Fathi Bawazier are the values of faith, worship values, and moral values. The aspects of aqidah found are faith in Allah, faith in books, and faith in apostles. The aspects of worship found are related to mahdhah worship and ghairu mahdhah worship. And the moral aspects found are commendable morals, namely instilling religious education and always being grateful.
