Abstract

Dewasa ini terdapat banyak wanita yang bekerja. Wanita sebagai istri, ibu dan juga pekerja dapat mengalami stres akibat peran ganda yang harus dijalankannya, sehingga membutuhkan usaha untuk menyelesaikan masalah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konflik peran ganda dengan coping stres pada Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) wanita di Rindam Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan tipe penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data simple random sampling. Jumlah partisipan sebanyak 52 PNS wanita di Rindam Jaya. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen Work-Family Conflict Scale yang dirancang oleh Carlson, Kacmar & Williams (2000) dan instrumen The Brief COPE yang dikembangkan oleh Carver (1997). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik untuk melihat apakah terdapat hubungan antara konflik peran ganda dengan coping stres. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, analisis korelasi antara konflik peran ganda dengan coping stres memperoleh nilai r hitung = 0,283 > r tabel = 0,231 dan nilai signifikansi p = 0,02 < α = 0,05, yang memiliki arti bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara konflik peran ganda dengan coping stres pada PNS wanita di Rindam Jaya. Semakin tinggi konflik peran ganda yang dimiliki, semakin besar usaha coping yang dilakukan. Nowadays there are a lot of women who work. Women as wives, mothers and workers may experience stress due to their multiple roles, so they need to take effort to resolve the problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the work-family conflict with coping stress on female civil servants in Rindam Jaya. This study used a quantitative research type with data collection techniques using simple random sampling. The total participants were 52 female civil servants in Rindam Jaya. Data collections were using Work-Family Conflict Scale instruments designed by Carlson, Kacmar & Williams (2000) and The Brief COPE instrument developed by Carver (1997). The data were analyzed using statistical methods to see whether there is a relationship between work family conflict with coping stress. Based on the result of this study, correlations analysis between work-family conflict with coping stress were obtaining the r count score = 0,283 > r table = 0,231 and the significant value p = 0.017 < α= 0,05, which means that there was positive relationship between work-family conflict with coping stres on female civil servants in Rindam Jaya. The higher the work-family conflict, the higher the coping stress on female civil servants in Rindam Jaya.
