Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPA melalui model problem based learning (PBL) siswa kelas V di SDN Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi Jakarta Timur. Penelitian dilakukan di SDN Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi Jakarta Timur, dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 39 siswa semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model siklus dari Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh pada siklus I menunjukan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebesar 58,97%, dan siklus II sebesar 82,05%. Adapun penerapan model problem based learning (PBL) pada siklus I rata-ratanya sebesar 83,33%, dan siklus II rata-ratanya adalah 96,42%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning (PBL) pada pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di kelas V SDN Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi Jakarta Timur. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini yaitu bahwa model problem based learning (PBL) dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis apabila diterapkan secara optimal. The purpose of this research was to improve critical thinking skill in science learning through problem based learning (PBL) model in fifth grade students at State Elementary School Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi East Jakarta. The research was conducted at State Elementary School Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi East Jakarta, with the subject of research was fifth grade students, which amounted to 39 students of second semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The research method used was classroom action research of cycle model from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. The results obtained in the first cycle showed students' critical thinking skill of 58.97%, and the second cycle of 82.05%. The application of problem based learning (PBL) model in the first cycle, the average was 83.33%, and the average of the second cycle was 96.42%. Based on the results of this research could be concluded that problem based learning (PBL) model in science learning could improve students' critical thinking skill in fifth grade at State Elementary School Cipinang Melayu 07 Pagi East Jakarta. The implication of this research was that problem based learning (PBL) model could be used as one of the learning model to improve students' critical thinking skill when applied optimally.
