Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku saku dan menilai kelayakan buku saku personal hygiene dalam laboratorium pengolahan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah research and development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Borg and Gall yang terdiri tahapan: 1) penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi; 2) perencanaan; 3) Mengembangkan bentuk pendahuluan produk; 4) uji lapangan persiapan; 5) revisi produk utama; 6) uji lapangan utama; 7) pelaksanaan revisi produk; 8) uji lapangan operasional; 9) revisi produk akhir; 10) penyebaran dan pengimplementasian. Buku saku di uji kelayakannya oleh ahli materi, ahli media, ahli bahasa dan pengguna, yaitu peserta didik kelas X Jasa Boga SMK Pariwisata Pelita Hotel Training Cianjur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian ahli materi sebesar 92,5% (sangat layak), penilaian ahli media sebesar 98% (sangat layak), dan penilaian ahli bahasa sebesar 100% (sangat layak). Hasil penilaian oleh pengguna yang meliputi uji one to one mendapatkan persentase sebesar 88,54% (sangat layak), uji small group mendapatkan persentase sebesar 88,33% (sangat layak), dan uji field group mendapatkan hasil persentase sebesar 89,02% (sangat layak). Hasil respon pengguna pada media buku saku personal hygiene dalam laboratorium pengolahan mencapai tingkat persentase sebesar 91,25% yang termasuk kedalam kriteria sangat positif dengan keterangan skala persentase sangat menarik. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa media buku saku personal hygiene dalam laboratorium pengolahan ini dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sebagai media pembelajaran. This development research aims to develop a pocket book and assess the feasibility of a personal hygiene pocket book in a processing laboratory. The reaserch method used is research and development. The development model used is the Borg and Gall model wich consists of the following stages: 1) research and information gathering; 2) planning; 3) development a product introduction form; 4) field tes preparation; 5) major product revisions; 6) main field test; 7) implementation of product revisions; 8) operational field test; 9) final product revision; 10) development and implementation. The pocket book was tested for feasibility by material experts, media experts, linguistis and user, namely students of class X Catering Service Vocational Shool of Tourism Pelita Hotel Cianjur Training Cianjur. The result shiwed that the assessment of the material expert was 92,5% (very feasible), the assessment os the media expert was 98% (very feasible), and the assessment of the linguists was 100% (very feasible). The result of the assessment by user which include the one to one test gets a percentacge of 88,54% (very feasible), the small group test gets a percentage result of 88,33% (very feasible), and the field group test gets a percentage 89,02% (very feasible). The result of the user’s response to the personal hygiene pocket book media in the processing laboratory reached a percentage level of 91,25% which was included in the very positive criteria with the description of the percentage scale being very interesting. Therefore, the personal hygiene pocket book media in this processing laboratory is declared for use in learning activities as learning media.
