Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami dan mendalami serta dapat menjelaskan hal-hal mengenai unsur intrinsik novel, struktur kepribadian tokoh utama, bentuk gangguan disosiatif dan penyebab gangguan disosiatif tokoh utama dalam novel Tell Me Your Dreams karya Sidney Sheldon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis isi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan membaca novel Tell Me Your Dreams dan mengindikasikan struktur kepribadian, bentuk gangguan disosiatif dan penyebab gangguan disosiatif tokoh utama. Hasil penelitian unsur Instrinsik Tell Me Your Dreams dalam novel Tell Me Your Dreams meliputi tema, tokoh, penokohan, alur dan latar. Struktur kepribadian tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam novel Tell Me Your Dreams terdiri atas tiga unsur Id, Ego dan Superego. Bentuk gangguan disosiatif tokoh utama yang terdapat dalam novel Tell Me Your Dreams terdapat Empat macam yaitu gangguan Amnesia Disosiatif, Fuga Disosiatif, Identitas Disosiatif dan Gangguan Depersonalisasi. Setelah dilakukan analisis dan interpretasi berdasarkan teori psikoanalisis dan teori gangguan disosiatif, peneliti menemukan pada unsur Id 7 ( 28%) Ego 12 (48%) Superego 6 (24%), sedangkan gangguan Amnesia disosiatif 7 (16%) Fuga Disosiatif 11 (26%), gangguan Identitas Disosiatif 17 (39%) dan gangguan Depersonalisasi 8 (19%) Jadi, faktor kekerasan seksual masa kecil terdapat 7 (58%) dan faktor kekerasan verbal 5 (42%), novel Tell Me Your Dreams karya Sidney Sheldon tersebut dapat memberikan inspirasi bagi pembaca. Hal ini karena gangguan disosiatif yang paling berat pada tokoh utama adalah gangguan identitas disosiatif (gangguan kepribadian ganda), dan penyebab terbesar adalah kekerasan seksual pada masa kecil yang berulang. ***** The purpose of this study is to understand, explore and be able to explain things about the intrinsic elements of the novel, the personality structure of the main character, the form of dissociative disorders and the causes of the main character's dissociative disorder in Sidney Sheldon's Tell Me Your Dreams. This research is qualitative research using content analysis method. The data collection technique is to read the novel Tell Me Your Dreams and indicate the personality structure, the form of the dissociative disorder and the causes of the main character's dissociative disorder. The results of the research on the Instrinsic elements of Tell Me Your Dreams in the Tell Me Your Dreams novel include themes, characters, characterizations, plot and setting. The personality structure of the main character in the Tell Me Your Dreams novel consists of three elements: Id, Ego and Superego. There are four types of dissociative disorder in the main character Tell Me Your Dreams, namely Dissociative Amnesia disorder, Dissociative Fuga, Dissociative Identity and Depersonalization Disorder. After analyzing and interpreting based on psychoanalytic theory and dissociative disorder theory, the researchers found that in elements Id 7 (28%) Ego 12 (48%) Superego 6 (24%), while dissociative amnesia disorder 7 (16%) Dissociative Fuga 11 (26 %), Dissociative Identity disorder 17 (39%) and Depersonalization disorder 8 (19%). So, there are childhood sexual violence factors 7 (58%) and 5 (42%) verbal abuse factors, the novel Tell me Your Dreams by Sidney Sheldon it can inspire readers. It is because the most severe dissociative disorder in the main character is dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality disorder), and the most significant cause of repeated childhood sexual violence.
