Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode inkuiri terhadap hasil belajar IPA di kelas IV SD materi struktur dan fungsi bagian tumbuhan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDN Jaya Sakti 03 dengan sampel siswa kelas IV, pada semester I tahun pelajaran 2011/ 2012. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar IPA, instrumen tes berbentuk soal pilihan ganda dan dianalisis dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, baik terhadap kelas eksperimen maupun kelas kontrol. Hasil uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji normalitas Lilliefors terhadap data hasil belajar IPA kelas eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa harga Lhitung sebesar 0,111 dan Lhitung kelas kontrol sebesar 0,103. Adapun harga Ltabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dan n = 35 adalah 0,152. Oleh karena kedua harga Lhitung < Ltabel, maka kesimpulannya adalah data pada kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa harga Fhitung sebesar 1,08, sedangkan harga Ftabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan sebesar 1,79. Oleh karena Fhitung < Ftabel (1,08 < 1,79), maka kedua kelas tersebut homogen. Setelah dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis, selanjutnya dilakukan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji-t, diperoleh harga thitung sebesar 4,15, sedangkan harga ttabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 dan dk = 64 adalah sebesar 1,66. Oleh karena harga thitung > ttabel (4,15 > 1,66), maka Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran melalui metode inkuiri dengan siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran melalui pendekatan konvensional. Implikasi hasil penelitian adalah bahwa pendekatan metode inkuiri dapat memberikan perubahan yang bermanfaat terhadap hasil belajar IPA. Pendekatan metode inkuiri merupakan salah satu alternatif yang digunakan sebagai strategi pembelajaran IPA. ***** The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of methods of inquiry to learn the results of Natural Science in Elementary School fourth grade material structure and function of plant parts. Research conducted at the SDN Jaya Sakti 03 with a sample of fourth grade students, in the first semester of the school year 2011/2012. Samples were taken by using Simple Random Sampling. The data was collected using the test results of studying Natural Sciences, an instrument shaped test multiple choice questions and were analyzed with the test for normality, homogeneity test, both the experiment class and control class. The test results for normality using Lilliefors test for normality of data from the Natural Sciences learning classes experiments show that the price Lhitung of 0.111 and Lhitung 0.103 for the control class. The price Ltabel at significance level α = 0.05 and n = 35 is 0.152. Therefore, both the price Lhitung <Ltabel, then the conclusion is data on both classes are normally distributed. Homogeneity test results show that the price Fhitung of 1.08, while the price Ftabel at significance level α = 0.05 with degrees of freedom of 1.79. Therefore Fhitung <Ftabel (1.08 <1.79), then both classes are homogeneous. After test requirements analysis, hypothesis testing is then performed using t-test. Based on the results of the t-test calculations, obtained Thitung price of 4.15, while the price of a TTable at significance level α = 0.05 and dk= 64 is equal to 1.66. Therefore the price Thitung> TTable (4.15> 1.66), then Ho is rejected and H1 accepted which means there are significant differences between students who have learning through inquiry methods with students who have learning through conventional approaches. The implications of research results is that the approach method of inquiry can provide beneficial changes to science learning outcomes. The approach is one method of inquiry that is used as an alternative learning strategies of Natural Sciences.
