Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui masalah sosial dalam novel Bumi Manusia karangan Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Fokus yang dikaji pada penelitian ini adalah masalah sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Bumi Manusia karangan Pramoedya Ananta Toer, sedangkan subfokus penelitian ini terbagi menjadi tiga aspek masalah sosial, yaitu (1) hubungan keluarga, (2) struktur sosial, (3) konflik sosial. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kata, kalimat, atau paragraf yang menunjukkan masalah sosial dalam novel Bumi Manusia karangan Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Penelitian ini menyajikan data unsur instrinsik dari novel Bumi Manusia karangan Pramoedya Ananta Toer yang meliputi tema, alur dan plot, tokoh dan penokohan, latar, sudut pandang, dan amanat yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan penyajian data masalah sosial dalam novel Bumi Manusia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga aspek masalah sosial dalam novel Bumi Manusia karangan Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Rincian hasil temuan yang didapatkan dapat dilihat sebagai berikut: (1) hubungan keluarga sebanyak 19 butir, yaitu adanya kekurangan komunikasi dalam keluarga dan krisis keluarga, (2) struktur sosial sebanyak 29 butir, yaitu strata tinggi, strata sedang, dan strata rendah, (3) konflik sosial sebanyak 76 butir, yaitu kejahatan, pelanggaran norma-norma terhadap masyarakat, stereotip, rasisme, dan diskriminasi. Penelitian ini dapat diimplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran novel Bahasa Indonesia kelas 12 SMA pada Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 3.9 menganalisis isi dan kebahasaan novel dan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 4.9 merancang novel atau novelet dengan memperhatikan isi dan kebahasaan baik secara lisan maupun tulis. Kata kunci: sosiologi sastra, masalah sosial, novel, Bumi Manusia ********* ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the social problems in the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This study uses a qualitative description method with content analysis techniques. The focus studied in this research is the social problems contained in the novel Bumi Manusia, while the subfocus of this research is three aspects of social problems, namely (1) family relationship, (2) social structure, (3) social conflict. Sources of data in this study are words, sentences, or paragraphs that shoe the social problems in the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. This study presents data on the intrinsic elements of the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer which includes the theme, plot and plot, characters and characterizations, setting, point of view, and mandate which is then continued with the presentation of data on social problems in the novel Bumi Manusia. The results showed that there are three aspects of social problems in the novel Bumi Manusia by Pramoedya Ananta Toer. Details of the findings obtained can be seen as follows: (1) family relationships as many as 19 items, namely the lack of communication in the family and family crises, (2) social structure as many as 29 items, namely high strata, medium strata, and low strata, (3) social conflict as many as 76 items, namely crime, violation of norms against society, stereotypes, racism, and discrimination. This research can be implied in learning Indonesian novels for grade 12 SMA at KD 3.9 analyzing the content and language of novels and KD 4.9 designing novels or novelets by paying attention to content and language both orally and in writing.
