Abstract

Prakerin merupakan salah satu program di SMK yang bertujuan untuk menyelaraskan DUDI dengan sekolah dalam upaya meminimalisir kesenjangan keterampilan kerja yang dibutuhkan di DUDI dengan yang dipelajari di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi program Prakerin dalam mendorong penguasaan keterampilan kerja oleh siswa Teknik Sepeda Motor SMKN 7 Kabupaten Tangerang. Evaluasi program dengan model Delphi-Goal Oriented digunakan untuk meninjau kebutuhan keterampilan kerja di DUDI dan menganalisis kesenjangan antara keterampilan tersebut dengan aplikasinya saat Prakerin. Enam Panelis Ahli terpilih untuk menyeleksi keterampilan prioritas di DUDI. Dari 32 keterampilan prioritas yang diajukan (soft skills dan keterampilan teknikal), 14 keterampilan terpilih oleh Panelis Ahli. Soft skills menempati tujuh urutan pertama lalu disusul oleh keterampilan teknikal. Daftar keterampilan tersebut digunakan untuk menganalisis kesenjangan antara keterampilan prioritas dengan pengaplikasiannya saat Prakerin yang diberikan kepada 30 siswa hasil pemilihan dengan random sampling. Secara keseluruhan, keterampilan tersebut sering diaplikasikan saat Prakerin namun ada beberapa keterampilan yang jarang diaplikasikan sehingga ada kesenjangan. Penelitian ini berisikan alasan dari senjangnya keterampilan tersebut dari sudut pandang ahli dan siswa serta saran perbaikan untuk meminimalisir kesenjangan tersebut yang dapat diaplikasikan secara praktis di dalam kelas. ********* ABSTRACT Prakerin is one of the vocational high school programs that aims to align industrial world with schools in an effort to minimize the gap between the work skills required at field and those learned at school. This study aims to evaluate the Prakerin program in encouraging mastery of employability skills by Motorcycle Engineering students at SMKN 7 Tangerang Regency. Program evaluation incorporating the Delphi-Goal Oriented model is equipped in this study to review employability skills needs at the working field and analyse the gap between these skills and their application during Prakerin. Six expert panelists were selected to sort the priority skills needed by DUDI. Of the 32 priority skills proposed (soft skills and technical skills), 14 skills were selected by the expert panelists. Soft skills occupied top seven ranking and technical skills follow after based on the degree of importance. The list of skills is used to analyze the gap between the priority skills and their application during Prakerin that was given to the 30 students selected over a random sampling. Overall, these skills are often applied during Prakerin but there are some skills that are rarely applied so there are gaps. This study contains the reasons for the gap in these skills from the point of view of the experts and students as well as suggestions for improvement to minimize these gaps that can be applied practically in the classroom.
