Abstract

Biologi merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang dapat menjadi pilihan bagi peserta didik dengan peminatan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) sebagai mata pelajaran lintas minat. Faktor penting yang dapat menentukan hasil belajar di antaranya adalah minat dan motivasi belajar. Semakin tinggi minat dan motivasi belajar peserta didik, maka akan semakin baik hasil belajarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan minat dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar Biologi peserta didik pada rumpun lintas minat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 18 Kota Bekasi pada bulan Juni tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 120 peserta didik kelas 10 jurusan IPS yang terpilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan studi korelasional. Hasil uji prasyarat menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil perhitungan koefisien korelasi menunjukkan rx1x2y = 0,822 yang diinterpretasikan dalam kriteria hubungan sangat kuat. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara minat dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar peserta didik rumpun lintas minat. ***** Biology is one of the subjects that can be chosen for students in Social Sciences major as a cross-interest subject. For some students in this major, Biolgy is still considered only as a requirement to get grades. This can have an impact on students’ Biology learning outcomes. Important factors that can determine learning outcomes include interest and motivation to learn. The higher the interest and motivation of students to learn, the better the learning outcomes will be. This study aims to determine the relationship between interest and motivation to learn with Biology learning outcomes in cross-interest students’. This research was conducted at SMAN 18 Bekasi in June of the 2021/2022 academic year with a total sample of 120 10th grade students majoring in Social Sciences who were selected through simple random sampling technique. The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative method with correlational studies. The prerequisite test show that the data is normally distributed and homogenous. The calculation results of the correlation coefficient shows the value of rx1x2y = 0,822 that is interpreted as a very strong relationship. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant positive relationship between interest and learning motivation with Biology learning outcomes in cross-interest students.
