Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mendeskripsikan representasikan kehidupan sosial masyarakat Indonesia dalam lirik lagu Band Punk “Marjinal” dengan Tinjauan Analisis Wacana Kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi kualitatif dengan tiga tahap analisis data yaitu deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Untuk menganalisis data, penelitian ini menggunakan teori Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) Norman Fairclough yang melihat pada 3 tataran dimensi, yakni dimensi teks, dimensi praktik wacana, dan dimensi praktik sosiokultural. Hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan representasi kehidupan sosial masyarakat dalam dimensi teks ditandai oleh penulis lagu dan pendengar dalam sudut pandang yang sama, yakni sebagai rakyat yang merasa peduli terhadap kehidupan sosial, politik, dan ekonomi di Indonesia. Hasil dimensi praktik wacana melihat pada pemilihan kata yang frontal serta penggunaan kosakata “kita” yang menandai rakyat Indonesia yang memiliki perasaan yang sama dengan lirik, serta penggunaan kosakata “mereka” yang menandai pemerintah Indonesia. Dilanjut dari hasil dimensi praktik sosiokultural, lirik lagu yang terbentuk menghasilkan peristiwa terjadinya ketidakadilan, kemiskinan, pengangguran, dan ketimpangan politik yang terjadi di Indonesia. *** The purpose of this study is to describe the representation of the social life of the Indonesian people in the lyrics of the Punk Band "Marjinal" song with a Critical Discourse Analysis Review. This study uses qualitative content analysis with three stages of data analysis, namely description, interpretation, and explanation. To analyze the data, this study uses Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis (AWK) theory which looks at 3 levels of dimensions, namely the text dimension, the discourse practice dimension, and the sociocultural practice dimension. The results of the study that show the representation of people's social life in the text dimension are marked by songwriters and listeners in the same point of view, namely as people who feel concerned about social, political, and economic life in Indonesia. The results of the discourse practice dimension look at the frontal choice of words and the use of the vocabulary "we" which marks the Indonesian people who have the same feelings as the lyrics, as well as the use of the vocabulary "they" which marks the Indonesian government. Continuing from the results of the sociocultural practice dimension, the song lyrics formed resulted in events of injustice, poverty, unemployment, and political inequality that occurred in Indonesia.
