Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran model direct instruction dan metode story telling dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas wirasa ketika menari pada siswa ekstrakulikuler tari SMAN 1 Jampangkulon, dan meningkatkan kualitas wirasa dalam menari dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran direct instruction dan metode story telling pada siswa ekstrakulikuler tari SMAN 1 Jampangkulon. Penelitian dilakukan karena kualitas wirasa siswa masih kurang dalam menari. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan desain intervensi tindakan Kemmis & Mc yang mempunyai 4 tahapan pokok yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan yang berbarengan dengan observasi dan diakhiri tahap refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa ekstrakulikuler tari SMAN 1 Jampangkulon yang terdiri dari 10 orang siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan tes unjuk kerja. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini berlangsung dari bulan Februari sampai bulan Juli 2022 di ekstrakulikuler tari SMAN 1 Jampangkulon. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan terhadap kualitas wirasa siswa dalam menarikan tari Sekar Putri melalui penerapan model pembelajaran direct instruction dan metode story telling, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes unjuk kerja pada pra siklus, siswa hanya mendapatkan nilai rata-rata kualitas wirasa sebesar 44% meningkat menjadi 69%, pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 84,7% pada siklus ke II atau meningkat sebanyak 40,7% dari sebelum diberikan treatment. This study aims to describe the learning process of the direct instruction model and story telling method in an effort to improve the quality of wirasa when dancing to dance extracurricular students at SMAN 1 Jampangkulon, and to improve the quality of wirasa by using direct instruction learning models and story telling methods to dance extracurricular students of SMAN 1 Jampangkulon. The research was conducted because the students' wirasa quality was still lacking in dancing. The research method applied is classroom action research using Kemmis & Mc's action intervention design which has 4 main stages, namely planning, implementing actions simultaneously with observation and ending with the reflection stage. The subjects of this study were dance extracurricular students of SMAN 1 Jampangkulon which consisted of 10 students. Data were collected through observation, documentation, interviews and performance tests. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively descriptively. This research took place from February to July 2022 at the dance extracurricular of SMAN 1 Jampangkulon. The results showed an increase in the quality of students' wirasa in dancing the Sekar Putri dance through the application of direct instruction learning models and story telling methods, this can be seen from the results of performance tests in the pre-cycle, students only got an average value of 44% of wirasa quality. increased to 69% in the first cycle and increased again to 84.7% in the second cycle or increased by 40.7% from before being given treatment.
