Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi silsilah serta bentuk dan struktur musik kesenian Bendrong Lesung di Kabupaten Pandeglang Provinsi Banten. Tempat penelitian dilakukan di Desa Dalembalar Kecamatan Cimanuk Kabupaten Pandeglang Banten. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kesenian Bendrong Lesung di Kabupaten Pandeglang Banten sebagai salah satu kesenian tradisional yang tercipta dari kebiasaan gotong royong masyarakat setempat yang mulai menghilang dikarenakan pengaruh perkembangan teknologi. Namun ada upaya masyarakat untuk mencegah hilangnya kesenian tersebut dengan masyarakat menciptakan berbagai jenis dan bentuk tabuhan pola irama yang saling bersahutan dan menghasilkan alunan musik yang selaras disertai nyanyian lagu daerah setempat. Terdapat 8 bentuk tabuhan pola irama yang diciptakan yaitu Kotrek Gencer, Kotrek Carang, Tolol, Genjer, Ketud, Prak Prung, Sepak Kuda dan Tok Tak. Untuk mempertahankan kemurnian serta keberadaanya, Kesenian Bendrong Lesung diwariskan secara turun-temurun dan masih dilestarikan sampai saat ini oleh generasi penerusnya. Kata Kunci : Kesenian Tradisional, Pola Irama, Bendrong Lesung. ********** This study aims to identify the genealogy as well as the form and structure of the musical art of Bendrong Lesung in Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province. The place of research was carried out in Dalembalar Village, Cimanuk District, Pandeglang Regency, Banten. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the art of Bendrong Lesung in Pandeglang Regency, Banten as one of the traditional arts created from the local community's mutual cooperation habit which began to disappear due to the influence of technological developments. However, there are community efforts to prevent the loss of this art by creating various types and forms of wasps with rhythmic patterns that reply to each other and produce harmonious music accompanied by singing local folk songs. There are 8 forms of rhythmic wasps created, namely Kotrek Gencer, Kotrek Carang, Tolol, Genjer, Ketud, Prak Prung, Sepak Kuda and Tok Tak. To maintain its purity and existence, the art of Bendrong Lesung has been passed down from generation to generation and is still preserved to this day by the next generation.
