Abstract

Semenjak virus Covid-19 melanda, pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin di Indonesia berganti menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Pada pelaksanaan PJJ, berbagai platform berbasis internet digunakan. Salah satunya yaitu pemanfaatan platform music streaming Spotify sebagai media pembelajaran. Penulisan skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan Spotify selama kegiatan Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar (PKM) mata pelajaran Bahasa Mandarin di SMAN 64 Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Skripsi ini memaparkan bahwa terdapat 8 siniar “It’s Kinda Mandarin” dalam Spotify yang telah digunakan sebagai materi ajar suplemen dan media pembelajaran alternatif saat kegiatan PKM mata pelajaran bahasa Mandarin tahun 2021 di SMAN 64 Jakarta. Hasil observasi & dokumentasi menunjukkan: (1) pada masa PJJ daring, Spotify digunakan oleh pemelajar secara mandiri. Setelah tautan siniar disebarkan, terdapat perubahan sikap pemelajar di kelas berupa keberanian melafalkan kosakata ataupun teks di kelas, (2) pada masa Pertemuan Tatap Muka Terbatas (PTMT), jam pelajaran bahasa Mandarin dikurangi, Spotify tidak terlalu sering diakses pemelajar. Skripsi ini tidak menjelaskan tanggapan pemelajar terhadap pemanfaatan Spotify, tidak juga menjelaskan kaitannya dengan hasil belajar pemelajar. Sehingga hal ini masih membutuhkan penelitian lebih lanjut. Skripsi ini bermanfaat untuk menambah wawasan terkait pemanfaatan platform music streaming Spotify sebagai media pembelajaran alternatif. Selain itu dapat menjadi salah satu referensi pengajar dalam mengembangkan variasi media pembelajaran bahasa Mandarin. ******** Since the Covid-19 virus surges, Chinese learning in Indonesia has changed into the form of distance learning. In the implementation of distance learning, there are several adjustments. One of them is the use of the Spotify music streaming platform as a learning medium. This study aims to describe the use of Spotify during the Teaching Competency Practice (PKM) for Chinese subjects at SMAN 64 Jakarta. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation. A total of 8 "It's Kinda Mandarin" broadcasts on Spotify were used as supplementary teaching materials and alternative learning media during the year of 2021 PKM activities for Chinese subjects at SMAN 64 Jakarta. The results of the observations show: (1) during the online distance learning period, Spotify was used by students independently. After the broadcast link was distributed, there was a change in the attitude of students in class in the form of courage to recite vocabulary or text in class, (2) during the limited face-to-face learning, Chinese language lessons were reduced, Spotify was also not accessed by students very often. Based on the data obtained, it is not certain whether the use of Spotify is going well, nor can it be explained in relation to student learning outcomes. This still requires further research. This research is useful for adding insight regarding the use of the Spotify music streaming platform as an alternative learning media, as well as being one of the teacher's references in developing variations of Chinese learning media.
