Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara keberfungsian keluarga dan kesepian pada siswa/i SMP di sekolah asrama. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 206 siswa/i SMP sekolah asrama yang berusia 12-15 tahun yang didapatkan dengan teknik convenience sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Skala The General Functioning of The Family Assessment Device (GF-FAD) dan skala De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) diadaptasi dan digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara variabel keberfungsian keluarga dan kesepian pada siswa/i SMP di sekolah asrama. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik keberfungsian keluarga maka semakin rendah kesepian dan begitupun sebaliknya. The aim of this research is to find the relationship between family functioning and loneliness in junior high boarding schools students. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The sample in this research amounted to 206 students of junior high in boarding school aged 12-15 years that obtained by convenience sampling technique. Data collected by using a questionnaire. The General Functioning of The Family Assessment Device (GF-FAD) scale and the De Jong Gierveld Loneliness Scale (DJGLS) were adapted and used in this research. The research data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation technique. The results showed that there was a significant negative relationship between the family functioning and loneliness in junior high boarding schools students. This shows that the better the family functioning, the lower the loneliness and vice versa.
