Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar IPA kelas V yang dilakukan pada siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Tanjung Barat 07 Pagi Jakarta Selatan pada tahun 2022 dengan 84 sampel yang merupakan seluruh siswa kelas V SDN Tanjung Barat 07 Pagi Jakarta Selatan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh dengan model penelitian sederhana hubungan X dengan Y. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan esai dan non tes berupa kuesioner. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi product moment dan uji-t. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji korelasi product moment diperoleh r sebesar 0,66 dan uji-t diperoleh hasil thitung > ttabel (7,96 > 1,989). Hasil tersebut menunjukan bahwa hipotesis alternatif diterima dan hipotesis nol ditolak yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar IPA dan tingkat derajat korelasi kuat. Perhitungan koefisien determinasi diperoleh sebesar 43,5% artinya hasil belajar IPA ditentukan oleh kecerdasan emosional sebesar 43,5% selebihnya 56,5% ditentukan oleh faktor lain. Oleh sebab itu, kecerdasan emosional perlu ditanamkan sejak dini guna meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SD. ---------- This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and science learning outcomes for class V conducted on students of Tanjung Barat State Elementary School 07 Pagi South Jakarta in 2022 with 84 samples which are all fifth grade students at SDN Tanjung Barat 07 Pagi South Jakarta. Sampling used a saturated sample technique with a simple research model of the relationship between X and Y. The data was collected using test instruments in the form of multiple choice questions and essays and non-test in the form of a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using product moment test and t-test. Based on the calculation of the product moment r value is 0.66 and the t-test results are tcount > ttable (7,96 > 1.989). These results indicate that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected, which means that there is a positive relationship between emotional intelligence and science learning outcomes and the degree of correlation is moderate. Calculation of the coefficient of determination obtained by 43,5% means that science learning outcomes are determined by emotional intelligence by 43,5%, the remaining 56,5% is determined by other factors. Therefore, emotional intelligence needs to be instilled from an early age in order to improve science learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school students.
