Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari latar belakang pendidikan terhadap kinerja karyawan The Sahira Hotel Bogor. Merupakan penelitian kuantitatif asosiatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket latar belakang pendidikan (2) kinerja karyawan (35 butir). Populasi dari penelitian ini karyawan The Sahira Hotel bogor pada departemen Housekeeping, Food and Beverage serta Front Office dengan sampel karyawan berjenjang pendidikan SMK, D3 dan S1. Periode pengumpulan data berlangsung sejak bulan Juni 2022 sampai dengan bulan Agustus 2022. Analisis data yang digunakan uji anova one way dan uji t. Data-data yang telah diolah memenuhi uji validitas dan uji reabilitas. Hasil analisis data menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh latar belakang pendidikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hasil menunjukan bahwa adanya perbedaan nilai rata-rata pada tiap jenjang pendidikan, dan hal ini terlihat juga pada jurusan/bidang keilmuan. Hasil perhitungan menunjukan bahwa koefisiensi determinasi latar belakang jurusan berpengaruh sedang sesuai dengan rumusan 0,09 < r2 ≤ 0,25 atau 0,09 < 0,237 ≤ 0, 25 terhadap kinerja karyawan The Sahira Hotel Bogor. Dengan begitu dapat disimpulkan jika perusahaan/hotel menginginkan karyawan yang memiliki kinerja baik/maksimal maka harus diimbangi dengan latar belakang pendidikan yang memadai pula. ***** This study aims to determine the effect of educational background on the performance of employees of The Sahira Hotel Bogor. It is an associative quantitative research using survey method. Collecting data using educational background questionnaires (2) employee performance (35 items). The population of this study was The Sahira Hotel Bogor employees in the Housekeeping, Food and Beverage and Front Office departments with a sample of employees with SMK, D3 and S1 education levels. The data collection period took place from June 2022 to August 2022. Data analysis used the one way ANOVA test and t test. The data that has been processed meets the validity and reliability tests. The results of the data analysis concluded that there was an effect of educational background on employee performance. The results show that there are differences in average scores at each level of education, and this is also seen in majors/scientific fields. The results of the calculations show that the coefficient of determination of the background of the department has moderate influence according to the formula 0.09 < r2 ≤ 0.25 or 0.09 < 0.237 ≤ 0.25 on the performance of employees of The Sahira Hotel Bogor. That way it can be concluded that if the company/hotel wants employees who have good/maximum performance, then it must be balanced with an adequate educational background as well.
