Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh penilaian estetika ragam motif batik Kota Depok. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitaif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, one shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 produk kain batik Kota Depok dengan menggabungkan tiga motif batik Kota Depok, meliputi motif belimbing, motif ikan hias, dan motif gong si bolong. Kelima produk kain batik dinilai berdasarkan aspek wujud atau rupa, aspek bobot atau isi, dan aspek penampilan atau penyajian oleh 5 panelis ahli. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penilaian. Penilaian diukur menggunakan skala rating scale. Penilaian estetika ragam batik Kota Depok penggabungan motif belimbing, ikan hias, dan gong si bolong memenuhi kriteria penilaian estetika dengan nilai skor aspek wujud/rupa 84.08%, aspek bobot/isi 83.6% dan aspek penyajian/penampilan 86.4%. Aspek penyajian atau penampilan menjadi penilaian estetika dengan nilai tertinggi dalam penelitian ini, dikarenakan pada tampilan motif batik yang dihasilkan terlihat sangat baik sesuai dengan kaidah batik dengan penerapan alat dan media membatik yang sesuai. Aspek bobot atau isi mendapat nilai terendah dalam penelitian ini, hal ini dikarenakan dalam pelaksanaannya kurang matang sehingga motif yang ingin ditampilkan kurang tersampaikan dengan baik. Motif batik yang mendapat skor tertinggi menurut panelis adalah batik motif 5 dengan nilai 90,15% dan skor terendah pada batik motif 4 dengan nilai 74,77%. ***** This study aims to obtain an aesthetic assessment of the variety of batik motifs in Depok City. This research method uses descriptive quantitative research designpre-experimental design, one shot case study. This research resulted in 5 Depok City batik cloth products by combining three Depok City batik motifs, including the starfruit motif, ornamental fish motif, and the gong si bolong motif. The five batik cloth products were assessed based on aspects of shape or appearance, weight or content aspects, and appearance or presentation aspects by 5 expert panelists. Data collection techniques use assessment instruments. Assessment is measured using a scalerating scale. The aesthetic assessment of the variety of Depok City batik combining starfruit, ornamental fish, and gong si bolong motifs met the aesthetic assessment criteria with a score of 84.08% form/shape aspect, 83.6% weight/content aspect and 86.4% presentation/appearance aspect. The aspect of presentation or appearance is the aesthetic assessment with the highest score in this study, because the appearance of the resulting batik motifs looks very good according to the rules of batik with the application of appropriate batik tools and media. The aspect of weight or content gets the lowest score in this study, this is because the implementation is not mature so that the motives to be displayed are not conveyed properly. The batik motif that received the highest score according to the panelists was batik motif 5 with a value of 90.15% and the lowest score was batik motif 4 with a value of 74.77%.
