Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh penilaian produk aksesoris dengan limbah bubble wrap sebagai media tambahan pada kalung berdasarkan teori produk W.H Mayall yaitu aspek penampilan yang menarik dan teori prinsip desain Wolfe yaitu aspek keseimbangan, proporsi, pusat perhatian dan harmoni. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian pre-experimental design, dengan bentuk desain penelitian one-shot case study. Penelitian ini menghasilkan 5 produk aksesoris kalung dengan limbah bubble wrap sebagai media tambahan yang dinilai oleh 5 panelis ahli dengan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner atau angket. Penilaian diukur menggunakan skala rating scale. Hasil penilaian berdasarkan teori produk mendapatkan hasil sangat baik pada aspek penampilan yang menarik, hal ini karena penampilan produk kalung ditinjau dari keindahan bentuk serta style, inspirasi dan look yang digunakan sudah sesuai. Hasil penilaian berdasarkan teori prinsip desain memperoleh hasil sangat baik. Nilai tertinggi terdapat pada aspek keseimbangan, hal ini dikarenakan produk aksesoris memiliki bobot visual asimetris. Nilai terendah terdapat pada aspek pusat perhatian, hal ini dikarenakan tekstur bubble wrap pada pusat perhatian produk kurang terlihat. ***** The purpose of this study was to obtain an assessment of accessories products with bubble wrap waste as an additional media on necklaces based on W.H Mayall's product theory, namely aspects of attractive appearance and Wolfe's design principle theory, namely aspects of balance, proportion, center of attention and harmony. This research method uses descriptive quantitative with pre-experimental research design, with the form of one-shot case study research design. This research produced 5 necklace accessories products with bubble wrap waste as additional media which were assessed by 5 expert panelists with data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires. The assessment was measured using a rating scale. The results of the assessment based on product theory get very good results on the aspect of attractive appearance, this is because the appearance of necklace products in terms of the beauty of the shape and style, inspiration and look used is good. The results of the assessment based on the theory of design principles obtained very good results. The highest score is in the aspect of balance, this is because the accessories product has an asymmetrical visual weight. The lowest score is in the aspect of center of attention, this is because the bubble wrap texture in the center of attention of the product is less visible.
