Abstract

Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh social support, resilience, dan work engagement terhadap perilaku peran ekstra pada pegawai negeri sipil (PNS) generasi Z di Badan Pusat Statistik. Penelitian ini juga menyelidiki social support dan resilience terhadap perilaku peran ekstra melalui work engagement. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dalam bentuk google form yang disebarkan melalui email dengan ukuran sampel sebanyak 288 pegawai Generasi Z di Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS). Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random dan analisis data menggunakan Structure Equation Model (SEM) PLS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterikatan kerja dan ketahanan berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap perilaku peran ekstra. Sedangkan social support tidak berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap perilaku peran ekstra. Dari penelitian ini terbukti terdapat pengaruh positif tidak langsung secara signifikan variabel social support dan resilience pada perilaku peran ekstra melalui melalui work engagement. Sedangkan social support berpengaruh negatif secara tidak signifikan terhadap perilaku peran ekstra. Penelitian ini dapat membantu pimpinan dan pembuat kebijakan di BPS pada Generasi Z dalam hal pemenuhan fasilitas kebutuhan kerja yang sesuai, membuat Generasi Z lebih bisa menikmati pekerjaannya, dan membuat agar pekerjaan yang dikerjakan memberikan makna pada kehidupannya sehingga dapat meningkatkan perilaku peran ekstra. Penelitian ini juga membuka kajian untuk penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai social support yang berpengaruh negatif secara tidak signifikan terhadap perilaku peran ekstra pada generasi Z Kata Kunci: perilaku peran ekstra, social support, work engagement, resilience, generasi Z This study examines the effect of social support, work engagement, and resilience to extra role behavior in generation Z civil servants (PNS) at the Central Bureau of Statistics. This research also investigates social support and resilience to extra role behavior through work engagement. The research was conducted using a questionnaire in the form of a Google form which was distributed via email with a sample size of 288 employee Generation Z at the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Sampling was done randomly and data analysis used the PLS Structured Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that work engagement and resilience had a significant positive effect on extra role behavior. While social support has no significant positive effect on extra role behavior. From this study it is proven that there is a significant indirect positive effect of social support and resilience variables on extra role behavior through work engagement. Meanwhile, social support has a negative and insignificant effect on extra role behavior. This research can help leaders and policy makers at BPS in Generation Z regarding the fulfillment of appropriate work needs facilities, make Generation Z enjoy their work more, and make the work they do give meaning to their lives so that they can increase extra role behavior. This study opens the study for further research on social support which has a negative and insignificant effect on extra-role behavior in Generation Z.
