Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Inquiry Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis serta bagaimana respon siswa selelah mengikuti model Inquiry Based Learning dalam pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas IV di SDN Srengseng Sawah 07. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen bentuk desain Pre Experiment jenis One Group Pretest Posttest. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa kelas IV D SDN Srengseng Sawah 07 dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen tes berupa soal pilihan ganda (PG) untuk mengukur variabel kemampuan berpikir kritis dan instrumen non tes berupa angket untuk mengukur respon siswa. Untuk pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini digunakan Uji Paired T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model Inquiry Based Learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada muatan pelajaran IPS kelas IV di SDN Srengseng Sawah 07. Hal tersebut dapat dibuktikan dari hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung sebesar 13.608 dan ttabel sebesar 2.039. Selain itu terlihat dari adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diberi tindakan, yaitu skor rata-rata Pretest sebesar 46 meningkat menjadi 68.5 pada Posttest. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model Inquiry Based Learning juga menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif. Hal ini berdasarkan nilai rata-rata respon siswa sebesar 86.6% dengan kategori sangat positif. This study aims to determine the effect of the Inquiry Based Learning model on critical thinking skills and how students respond after following the Inquiry Based Learning model in social studies learning for fourth grade students at SDN Srengseng Sawah 07. This research uses a quantitative approach with the experimental method of the Pre Experiment type design. One Group Pretest Posttest. The sample in this study were 32 students of class IV D SDN Srengseng Sawah 07 using simple random sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using a test instrument in the form of multiple choice questions to measure critical thinking skills and a non-test instrument in the form of a questionnaire to measure student responses. To test the hypothesis in this study used the Paired T-Test. The results showed that there was an effect of using the Inquiry Based Learning model on students' critical thinking skills in social studies class IV at SDN Srengseng Sawah 07. This can be proven from the results of the hypothesis testing obtained tcount of 13,608 and ttable of 2,039. In addition, it can be seen from the increase in the average score of students' critical thinking skills before and after being given the action, namely the pre-test average score of 46 increased to 68.5 in the post-test. Student responses to Social Studies learning using the Inquiry Based Learning model also showed very positive results. This is based on the average value of student responses of 86.6% with a very positive category.
