Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan membedah secara objektif, mendalam, dan komprehensif diskursus radikalisme Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) pada pemberitaan Tempo.co. HTI sebagai sebuah organisasi diatribusi radikal karena dugaan dakwah ideologi khilafah mengancam eksistensi Pancasila dan NKRI. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah teks berupa kata, frase, klausa, kalimat, atau paragraf yang diambil 13 berita yang diterbitkan oleh Tempo.co sepanjang tahun 2017 s.d 2019. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mengacu pada signifikansinya pada diskursus radikalisme HTI. Dalam proses analisis data, penulis menggunakan teori analisis wacana kritis (AWK) model Norman Fairclough sebagai pisau analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya representasi pertentangan ideologis yang jelas dan tegas antara Pemerintah dengan HTI yang ditampilkan dalam teks melalui framing media atau pembingkaian HTI sebagai organisasi radikal. Representasi pertarungan ideologis tersebut beririsan dengan empat kategori, yaitu 1) radikalisme agama yang mempertentangkan “Islam Radikal versus Islam Moderat”; 2) radikalisme politik yang mempertentangkan “Khilafah versus Demokrasi”, 3) radikalisme pemerintahan yang mempertentangkan “Negara Islam versus Nasionalisme”, dan 4) radikalisme pendidikan yang mempertentangkan paham “Eksklusif versus Inklusif”. Hal menarik dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu adanya temuan yang cukup signifikan yang menunjukkan bahwa substansi diskursus radikalisme HTI merupakan sebuah arena tarik-menarik antara ideologi Barat versus ideologi Islam di Indonesia. Adapun implikasi penelitian ini diarahkan pada pengembangan buku bahan ajar mata kuliah menulis sastra berbasis narasi kontra radikalisme di perguruan tinggi. Adapun luaran dari penelitian ini adalah 1) publikasi di jurnal bereputasi sedang terindeks DOAJ and SINTA 4 di Getsempena English Education Journal of Department of English Education on Universitas BBG Banda Aceh, 2) diseminasi seminar internasional “21st International Conference on Sustainable Coastal - Community Development 2018” kerja sama antara Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka dengan Asosiasi Ahli dan Dosen Republik Indonesia (ADRI), 3) HKI, 4) Buku bacaan anak berjudul “Aku Pancasila, Cinta NKRI: Buku Bacaan Kontra Narasi Radikalisme”, dan 5) Buku ajar berjudul “Dari Pantun ke Cerpen: Bahan Ajar Mata Kuliah Menulis Sastra Berbasis Narasi Kontra Radikalisme di Perguruan Tinggi”. ***** This study aims to dissect in an objective, in-depth, and comprehensive the radicalism discourse on the Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI) on Tempo.co news. HTI as an organization is attributed radically because it is alleged that the propaganda of the caliphate ideology threatens the existence of Pancasila and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. The data in this study were texts in the form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences, or paragraphs taken from 13 news articles published by Tempo.co from 2017 to 2019. Data were collected using a purposive sampling technique concerning its significance in the discourse of HTI radicalism. In the process of data analysis, the authors applied the theory of Norman Fairclough’s critical discourse analysis (CDA) model as an analytical knife. The results of the study showed that there was a representation of ideological struggles displayed in the text through power relations and identity politics. The representation of the ideological struggle intersected with four categories, namely 1) religious radicalism which contrasted to “Radical Islam versus Moderate Islam”; 2) political radicalism which opposed “Khilafah versus Democracy”; 3) government radicalism which opposed “Islamic State versus Nationalism”; and 4) educational radicalism which contrasted to the notion of “Exclusive versus Inclusive”. The interesting thing from the results of this study was that there were significant findings which indicated that the substance of the discourse on HTI radicalism was an arena of attraction between Western ideology versus Islamic ideology in Indonesia. The implications of this research were directed at developing textbooks for literary writing courses based on counter-radicalism narratives in universities. The outputs of this research are 1) publications in reputable journals indexed by DOAJ and SINTA 4, is Getsempena English Education Journal by the Department of English Education of Universitas BBG Banda Aceh, 2) international seminar dissemination at the “21st International Conference on Sustainable Coastal - Community Development 2018” collaboration between Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka and the Association of Experts and Lecturers of the Republic of Indonesia (ADRI), 3) HKI [Intellectual Property Rights], 4) Children's reading book entitled “Aku Pancasila, Cinta NKRI: Buku Bacaan Kontra Narasi Radikalisme” [I'm Pancasila, I Love the Homeland: A Reading Book Against the Narrative of Radicalism], and 5) A textbook entitled “Dari Pantun ke Cerpen: Bahan Ajar Mata Kuliah Menulis Sastra Berbasis Narasi Kontra Radikalisme di Perguruan Tinggi” [From Pantun to Short Stories: Teaching Materials for Narrative-Based Literature Writing Courses Against Radicalism in Higher Education].
