Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tiga tipe kecemasan yang dialami tokoh Maryam dalam novel Maryam karya Okky Madasari dengan menggunakan kajian psikologi sastra. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik analisis isi novel. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan struktur novel Robert Stanton dengan teori kecemasan Sigmund Freud. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tokoh Maryam mengalami tiga tipe kecemasan yang dikemukakan oleh Sigmund Freud yaitu kecemasan realistik, kecemasan neurotik, dan kecemasan moral. Data menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Maryam paling sering mengalami kecemasan neurotik dan kecemasan moral dengan masing-masing sebanyak sembilan data dan kecemasan realistik sebanyak delapan data. Karakter Maryam yang memiliki banyak dimensi dan cenderung emosional menjadikan dirinya sering merasa cemas. Kecemasan Maryam lebih banyak dipicu oleh ketakutannya akan hukuman yang akan ia dapatkan setelah dirinya memuaskan keinginan dari dorongan idnya dan ketakutannya akan hukuman yang ia akan dapatkan jika melanggar norma-norma sosial dibandingkan dengan ketakutan Maryam akan hal-hal yang bersumber dari faktor luar dirinya. Baik id, ego, maupun superego Maryam mempengaruhi kecemasan yang Maryam rasakan. Kata kunci: Psikologi Sastra, Aspek Kecemasan, Fakta-fakta Cerita Novel ***** This study aims to describe the three types of anxiety experienced by the character Maryam in the novel Maryam by Okky Madasari using the study of literary psychology. This research is qualitative research using novel content analysis technique. The approach used in this study is the structural approach of Robert Stanton with Sigmund Freud's theory of anxiety. The results of the study found that the character Maryam experiences three types of anxiety as proposed by Sigmund Freud, namely realistic anxiety, neurotic anxiety, and moral anxiety. The data shows that the character Maryam most often experiences neurotic anxiety and moral anxiety with nine data each and realistic anxiety with eight data. Maryam's character, which has many dimensions and tends to be emotional, makes her often feel anxious. Maryam's anxiety is more triggered by her fear of punishment that she will get after she satisfies the desires of her id drive and her fear of punishment that she will get if she violates social norms compared to Maryam's fear of things that come from outside factors.
