Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X di SMAN 60 Jakarta pada materi atmosfer. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam quasy experimental dengan teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling dengan pertimbangan kedua kelas memiliki jumlah siswa dan rata-rata nilai yang sama. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas X7 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dan kelas X5 sebagai kelas kontrol yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh dari observasi, pre-test dan pos-test dengan bentuk essay. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini yaitu uji Independent Sample T-Test. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, instrumen penelitian dinyatakan valid dan reliabel, serta data terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh dari model pembelajaran inkuiri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X7 SMAN 60 Jakarta. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. Perolehan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen sebesar 73,06% dan kelas kontrol sebesar 64,31%. Hal ini didukung dengan perolehan nilai Sig. pada uji Independent Sample T-Test sebesar 0,014 < 0,05 yang berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga terdapat perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas X7 yang menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan kelas X5 yang tidak menerapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri pada materi atmosfer. ***** This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of class X students at SMAN 60 Jakarta on atmosphere material. This research is included in the quasy experiment with the sampling technique is purposive sampling with the consideration that both classes have the same number of students and the average value. The sample used in this research is class X7 as the experimental class that applies the guided inquiry learning model and class X5 as the control class that does not apply the guided inquiry learning model. The research data were obtained from observation, pre-test and post-test in essay form. Data analysis techniques in this study is the Independent Sample T-Test. Based on the test results, the research instrument was declared valid and reliable, as well as normally distributed and homogeneous data. The results of hypothesis testing show that there is a significant influence of the inquiry learning model on the critical thinking skills of students in class X7 SMAN 60 Jakarta. This is evidenced by the average post-test experimental class is superior to the control class. The average post-test gain for the experimental class was 73.06% and for the control class was 64.31%. This is supported by the acquisition of Sig. on the Independent Sample T-Test test of 0.014 < 0.05 which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So that there are differences in the critical thinking skills of students in class X7 who apply the inquiry learning model to class X5 without applying the inquiry learning model to atmospheric material.
