Sejalan dengan hal ini, media sosial dianggap cukup efektif karena kecepatannya dalam memperbaharui informasi. Salah satu informasi yang dibutuhkan adalah informasi terkait alur pelaporan kekerasan seksual di kampus yang disebabkan banyaknya dugaan kasus kekerasan seksual yang terjadi. Sebagai upaya pencegahan dan penanganan kasus kekerasan seksual, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial terhadap kebutuhan informasi alur pelaporan kekerasan seksual di kampus. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori new media yang menjelaskan bahwa media memberikan bentuk interaksi yang lebih interaktif juga membentuk masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua variabel, yakni media sosial dan kebutuhan informasi. Variabel media sosial memiliki empat dimensi antara lain: context, communication, collaboration, dan connection. Kebutuhan informasi memiliki empat dimensi antara lain: current need approach, everyday need approach, exhaust need approach, dan catching-up need approach. Paradigma dalam penelitian ini adalah paradigma positivistik dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey yakni dengan menyebarkan kuesioner melalui google form. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah followers akun Instagram @ppksunj. Selain itu, penelitian ini menggunakan teknik penarikan sampling purposive sampling dengan kriteria responden merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Selanjutnya metode analisis penelitian ini menggunakan analisis univariate dan bivariate yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa media sosial Instagram @ppksunj menunjukan kerjasama positif dan kebutuhan informasi alur pelaporan kekerasan seksual dengan pendekatan catching up need approach yang positif kepada followers. Hal ini dilihat dari hasil pengukuran distribusi frekuensi dan nilai mean. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan media sosial terhadap kebutuhan informasi alur pelaporan kekerasan seksual di kampus. Dimana pengaruhnya termasuk kedalam kategori yang sangat kuat. Selain itu, berdasarkan uji hipotesis yang dilakukan penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa ha diterima dan ho ditolak. ii Media sosial Instagram yang dikelola oleh @ppksunj berjalan dengan baik dalam memenuhi kebutuhan informasi mengenai alur pelaporan kekerasan seksual di kampus ditandai dengan pesan yang dapat diterima dan dipahami oleh followers. Akan tetapi, akun Instagram @ppksunj harus meningkatkan media sosial melalui publikasi konten yang menarik dan interaktif. In line with this, social media is considered quite effective because of its speed in updating information. One of the information needed is information related to the flow of reporting sexual violence on campus due to the large number of alleged cases of sexual violence that have occurred. As an effort to prevent and handle cases of sexual violence, this study aims to determine the influence of social media on the need for information on the flow of reporting sexual violence on campus. The theory used in this study is the new media theory which explains that the media provides a more interactive form of interaction that also shapes society. This study uses two variables, namely social media and information needs. Social media variables have four dimensions, including context, communication, collaboration, and connection. Information needs have four dimensions, including the current need approach, everyday need approach, exhaust needs approach, and catching-up need approach. The paradigm in this study is a positivistic paradigm with a quantitative approach. The research method used is survey research by distributing questionnaires through Google Forms. The population in this study are followers of the Instagram account @ppksunj. In addition, this study used a purposive sampling withdrawal technique with the criteria of the respondents being students of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Furthermore, the analytical method of this study uses univariate and bivariate analysis, namely simple linear regression analysis.. The results of this study state that the social media Instagram @ppksunj shows positive cooperation and needs information on the flow of reporting sexual violence with a positive catching-up need approach to followers. This can be seen from the measurement results of the frequency distribution and the mean value. Furthermore, this study shows that there is a significant influence of social media on the need for information on the flow of reporting sexual violence on campus. Where the influence is included in a very strong category. In addition, based on the hypothesis testing conducted in this study, it was found that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. iv Instagram social media managed by @ppksunj is going well in meeting the information needs regarding the flow of reporting sexual violence on campus marked by messages that can be received and understood by followers. However, the @ppksunj Instagram account must improve social media through the publication of interesting and interactive content.
