Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran sosiodrama (studi kasus: siswa kelas XI Sosiologi 2 dan 3 SMAN 50 Jakarta). Hipotesis pada penelitian ini diantaranya; H0: tidak terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran sosiodrama. Ha: terdapat perbedaan antara kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran sosiodrama. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dengan kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis (X) sebagai variabel bebas dan metode pembelajaran sosiodrama (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 50 Jakarta. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September-November 2022. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh siswa kelas XI Sosiologi 2 yang berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas XI Sosiologi 3 yang berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis siswa antara metode pembelajaran sosiodrama dengan metode konvensional dilihat dari nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Kemudian diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 89,80 dan kelas kontrol 75,85, dapat disimpulkan penerapan metode pembelajaran sosiodrama memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap imajinasi sosiologis siswa. Kata kunci: kemampuan imajinasi sosiologis, metode pembelajaran, sosiodrama. This study aims to examine differences in students' sociological imagination abilities through the application of the sociodrama learning method (case study: students of class XI Sociology 2 and 3 of SMAN 50 Jakarta). Hypothesis in this study H0: there is no difference between the ability of students' sociological imagination through the application of the sociodrama learning method. Ha: there is a difference between the ability of students' sociological imagination through the application of the sociodrama learning method. This research uses a quantitative approach with the experimental method with the ability of sociological imagination (X) as the independent variable and sociodrama learning method (Y) as the dependent variable. The location of the research was carried out at 50 Jakarta Senior High School. The time of the study was carried out in September-November 2022. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, so that 35 students of class XI Sociology 2 were obtained as the control class and students of class XI Sociology 3 were 35 students as the experimental class. The results showed that there was an average difference in the results of students sociological imagination ability between the sociodrama learning method and the conventional method seen from the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Then the average value of the experimental class was 89.80 and the control class was 79.85. It can be concluded that the use of the sociodrama learning method has a significant difference to students' sociological imagination.
