Abstract
Abstrak Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi oleh metode belajar yang digunakan di dalam kelas belum mampu menciptakan kondisi pembelajaran yang optimal dan kurangnya antusias siswa dalam belajar sehingga mempengaruhi hasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran think pair share pada mata pelajaran sosiologi di kelas XI IPS 1 dan XI IPS 2 SMA Pusaka 1 Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan penggunaan metode pembelajaran think pair share (X) sebagai variabel bebas dan hasil belajar (Y) sebagai variabel terikat. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di SMA Pusaka 1 Jakarta. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli-September 2022. Populasi target dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Pusaka 1 Jakarta yang berjumlah 287 siswa. Populasi terjangkaunya adalah kelas XI IPS SMA Pusaka 1 Jakarta yang berjumlah 138 siswa dari 4 kelas. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive random sampling, sehingga diperoleh siswa kelas XI IPS 1 yang berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol dan siswa kelas XI IPS 2 yang berjumlah 32 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui sebuah hasil pretest-posttest yang dilakukan pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan SPSS 24.0 dan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar sosiologi siswa antara metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share dengan metode ceramah dilihat dari perolehan thitung sebesar 2,957 artinya lebih besar dari ttabel sebesar 1,997 pada taraf kepercayaan 95% (α = 0,05). Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan penggunaan metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Artinya penggunaan metode pembelajaran Think Pair Share yang didukung oleh karakteristik metode belajar tersebut memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk aktif berinteraksi dalam kelompok dan dapat menumbuhkan kemauan siswa belajar yang berakibat pada peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dibandingkan penggunaan metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Think Pair Share, Hasil Belajar ********* Abstract This research is motivated by the learning methods used in the classroom that have not been able to create optimal learning conditions and the lack of enthusiasm of students in learning so that it affects student learning outcomes. This study aims to examine differences in student learning outcomes using the think pair share learning method in sociology subjects in class XI IPS 1 and XI IPS 2 Pusaka 1 Jakarta High School. This study uses a quantitative approach with the quasy experimental method with the use ofthe think pair share (X) learning method asthe independent variable and learning outcomes (Y) as the dependent variable. The location of the research was carried out at Pusaka 1 Jakarta High School. The time of the study was carried out in JulySeptember 2022. The target population in this study were all students of class XI Pusaka 1 Jakarta High School, totaling 287 students. The affordable population is class XI IPS Pusaka 1 Jakarta High School totaling 138 students from 4 classes. The sampling technique used purposive random sampling, so that 35 students of class XI IPS 1 were obtained as the control class and students of class XI IPS 2 were 32 students as the experimental class. The data collection technique was carried out through a pretest posttest result conducted in the experimental class and the control class. Data processing and analysis techniques were carried out using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) 24.0 and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that there was an average difference in student sociology learning outcomes between the Think Pair Share learning method and the lecture method seen from the acquisition of a tcount of 2.957, which means that it is greater than a ttable of 1.997 at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). Thus it can be concluded that the use of the Think Pair Share learning method has a significant difference to student learning outcomes. This means that the use of the Think Pair Share learning method which is supported by the characteristics of the learning method provides opportunities for students to actively interact in groups and can foster students' willingness to learn which results in increased student learning outcomes compared to the use of lecture and question and answer methods.
