Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan karakter merupakan pendidikan yang amat penting untuk diperhatikan, banyaknya karakter dan moralitas peserta didik yang luntur akibat perkembangan teknologi dan perkembangan zaman yang berpengaruh besar terhadap perilaku peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Cara guru melakukan integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. (2) Respon peserta didik terhadap integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta di SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. (3) Kendala-kendala guru dalam integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta di SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Jadi, pengumpulan data pada saat penelitian menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Kemudian, data dan sumber data penelitian berasal dari sekolah yang diteliti. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Guru melakukan integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta melalui kegiatan pembelajaran di dalam kelas, yang pertama pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan penutup. Karakter tersebut diantaranya adalah religius, rajin membaca, nasionalis, disiplin, jujur dan sederhana. (2) Respon peserta didik di dalam integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta ini terdapat berbagai respon sesuai dengan pengalaman belajar yang didapat oleh peserta didik itu sendiri. Akan tetapi, kebanyakan peserta didik yang mengungkapkan belajar dengan guru tersebut sangat menyenangkan, asik dan tidak membosankan. (3) Ada beberapa kendala guru dalam melakukan integrasi pendidikan karakter Mohammad Hatta di SMA N 2 Air Sugihan, diantaranya adalah materi pembelajaran yang sedikit, media dan model pembelajaran yang cocok untuk digunakan. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Karakter, Mohammad Hatta, Pembelajaran Sejarah. ABSTRACT Character education is education that is very important to pay attention to, the many characters and morality of students fade due to technological developments and the times that have a big influence on student behavior. This study aims to find out (1) how teachers carry out the integration of Mohammad Hatta's character education in learning history at SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. (2) Student response to the integration of Mohammad Hatta's character education at SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. (3) Teacher constraints in integrating Mohammad Hatta's character education at SMA N 2 Air Sugihan. The method used in this research is qualitative with a case study approach. So, data collection at the time of research using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Then, the data and research data sources come from the schools studied. The results of the study show that (1) the teacher integrates Mohammad Hatta's character education through learning activities in the classroom, the first being the introduction, the core activities and the closing. These characters include being religious, diligent in reading, nationalist, disciplined, honest and simple. (2) The responses of the students in the integration of Mohammad Hatta's character education included various responses according to the learning experiences gained by the students themselves. However, most students said learning with the teacher was very fun, cool and not boring. (3) There are several teacher obstacles in integrating Mohammad Hatta's character education at SMA N 2 Air Sugihan, including the limited learning materials, media and learning models that are suitable for use.
