Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi siklus air di kelas VB SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03 Jakarta Timur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester II Tahun ajaran 2022/2023 pada muatan IPA dengan materi Siklus Air. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode tindakan kelas dengan model siklus Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, setiap siklus diadakan 2 kali pertemuan dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VB SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03 yang berjumlah 32 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes dan observasi. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen hasil belajar IPA (ranah kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik) dan instrumen pemantau tindakan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik dalam menggunakan model Discovery Learning. Target yang diharapkan oleh peneliti dari hasil belajar IPA (ranah kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik) yaitu 85% dengan skor ≥ 75. Adapun target yang diharapkan oleh peneliti dari pemantau tindakan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik dalam menggunakan model Discovery Learning adalah 95%. Pada siklus I hasil belajar peserta didik memperoleh persentase 72%, sedangkan hasil pemantau tindakan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik mencapai 87%. Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik mencapai 91% dan hasil pemantauan tindakan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik mencapai 100%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA materi siklus air.*****This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of the Science topic of the water cycle in grade VB SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03 Jakarta Timur. This study was conducted in the even semester, the academic year of 2022/2023 on the Science subject of Water Cycle topic. This research used Kemmis and Mc Taggar’s model. The study was performed in two cycles, each cycle conducted twice meeting with the stages of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subject involved students in grade VB SDN Jatinegara Kaum 03 amounted to 32 participants. The collecting data technique was through tests and observation which used instrument study results of Science subject (cognitive, affective, psychomotor domains), and instruments monitoring the actions of teacher and student using the Discovery Learning model. The expected target set by the researcher for Science learning outcomes (cognitive, affective, psychomotor domains) is 85% with a score ≥ 75. The expected target set by the researcher for monitoring the actions of teacher and students in using the Discovery Learning model is 95%. The first cycle shows students' learning outcomes with a percentage of 72%, while the monitoring action of teacher and students is 87%. In the second cycle, there is an improvement in students' learning outcomes, reaching 91%, and the monitoring of actions by teachers and students of 100%. These results indicate that the use of the Discovery Learning model can improve students' learning outcomes in the Water Cycle topic of Science.
