Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data jumlah siswa cerdas istimewa pada jenjang sekolah dasar kelas 5 di SD Islam Al Azhar 13 Rawamangun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu 5 wali kelas, 10 guru bidang, 15 guru yang pernah menjadi wali kelas siswa cerdas istimewa dan 120 siswa kelas 5. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling systematis dan purposive sampling. Dalam proses pengumpulan data peneliti menggunakan kuesioner dengan distribusi butir 30 butir pertanyaan untuk nominasi guru, 10 butir pertanyaan untuk nominasi teman sebaya dan 15 butir pertanyaan untuk nominasi diri sendiri. Data hasil penelitian berdasarkan nominasi guru, teman sebaya dan diri sendiri kemudian diolah dan diseleksi. Sehingga didapatkan 30 nama yang memenuhi ciri siswa cerdas istimewa dan syarat untuk mengikuti tes IQ. Berdasarkan hasil tes IQ menunjukkan bahwa 18% atau 5 siswa memperoleh skor IQ di atas 130. Kesimpulannya bahwa ditemukan 5 siswa yang masuk kategori cerdas istimewa di kelas 5 SD Islam Al Azhar 13 Rawamangun. Maka berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian, siswa yang masuk kedalam kategori cerdas istimewa dapat direkomendasikan untuk mendapatkan layanan pendidikan atau program pembelajaran yang berbeda dari siswa reguler lainnya dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. ***** The purpose of this research is to collect data on the number of gifted student at the grade 5 elementary school level at SD Islam Al Azhar 13 Rawamangun. This research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sample of this research were 5 homeroom teachers, 10 field teachers, 15 teachers who had been homeroom teachers for special intelligent students and 120 grade 5 students. Sampling using systematic sampling and purposive sampling. In the data collection process using a questionnaire with a distribution of 30 questions for teacher nomination, 10 questions for peer nomination and 15 questions for self-nomination. Research data based on teacher, peer and self nominations were then processed and selected. So that we get 30 names that meet the characteristics of gifted students and the requirements for taking the IQ test. Bases on the results of the IQ test, it shows that 18% or 5 students get an IQ score above 130. The conclusion was that 5 students were found who entered the category of gifted student in grade 5 at SD Islam Al Azhar 13 Rawamangun. Accordingly, it might be advised that gifted student receive educational services or learning programs that are different from those provided to other students and are adapted to their needs.
