Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika melalui model Problem based learning siswa kelas III SDN Duren Sawit 02 Pagi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas III A dengan jumlah siswa 28 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan model M. Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan tindakan, serta refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tes dan non tes (dokumentasi, catatan lapangan, dan lembar pengamatan). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model problem based learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas III. Nilai rata-rata pemecahan masalah matematika yang diperoleh siswa meningkat setelah mengikuti tes akhir dari siklus I sebesar 57,15% menjadi 85,71% pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 15,14%. Selain itu, peningkatan juga terjadi pada hasil observasi tindakan guru dan siswa. Persentase data observasi tindakan guru pada siklus I sebesar 70% menjadi 93,3% pada siklus II, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 23,3%. Data pemantau observasi siswa pada siklus I sebesar 60% menjadi 91,6%, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 31,6%. Hal ini menandakan adanya dampak positif dari pembelajaran berbasis model problem based learning. Model pembelajaran ini membuat siswa lebih aktif dan bersemangat saat pembelajaran. Siswa dapat berlatih dan berdiskusi dengan teman sekelompoknya sehingga menambah pengalaman dan pengetahuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah. ***** This classroom action research aims to improve the ability of mathematical problem solving skills through the Problem-based learning model for third grade students of SDN Duren Sawit 02 Pagi. This research was conducted in class III A with 28 students. This research uses the M. Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model with stages of planning, implementation, observation and action, and reflection. The data collection techniques used in this study consisted of tests and non-tests (documentation, field notes, and observation sheets). The results showed that the problem-based learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving skills of third grade students. The average value of math problem solving obtained by students increased after taking the final test from cycle I of 57,14% to 85,71% in cycle II, an increase of 15,14%. In addition, improvements also occurred in the results of observations of teacher and student actions. The percentage of teacher action observation data in cycle I amounted to 70% to 93.3% in cycle II, an increase of 23.3%. Student observation monitoring data in cycle I amounted to 60% to 91.6%, an increase of 31.6%. This indicates the positive impact of learning based on the problem-based learning model. This learning model makes students more active and excited during learning. Students can practice and discuss with their groupmates so as to increase students' experience and knowledge in problem solving
