Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media video tutorial model pembelajaran explicit instruction, menguji kelayakan dan efektivitasnya pada mata pelajaran konstruksi pola untuk siswa tunarungu. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang di evaluasi oleh panelis ahli materi, media dan bahasa dengan sampel siswa tunarungu berjumlah 11 siswa kelas X di UPT SLB-E Negeri Pembina Medan. Hasil penelitian penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: (1) Luaran produk pengembangan video tutorial lengkap dengan materi konstruksi pola mengenai cara mengukur badan dan membuat pola dasar badan wanita skala 1:4, JBI (Juru Bahasa Isyarat) yang manyampaikan materi sesuai dengan alur/tahapan dari model pembelajaran explicit instruction. (2) Produk pengembangan telah dinyatakan sangat layak oleh para ahli dengan persentase ahli materi sebesar 89,5%, ahli media sebesar 91,5%, dan ahli bahasa sebesar 89,1%. (3) Produk pengembangan terbukti efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran tunarungu dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata pre-test siswa sebesar 67,3 dan untuk post-test sebesar 85,7. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video tutorial model pembelajaran explicit instruction terbukti sangat layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai alat bantu mengajar pada mata pelajaran konstruksi pola untuk siswa tunarungu. ***** This study purpose to develop video tutorial and explicit instruction learning models, to test its feasibility and effectiveness in pattern construction for deaf students. This research was a Research and Development (R&D) type with the ADDIE model, which was evaluated by a panel of material, media and language experts with a sample of 11 deaf students in class X at UPT SLB-E Negeri Pembina Medan. The results of the research are as follows: (1) The product output of the development of a video tutorial complete with pattern construction material on how to measure the body and make the basic pattern of a woman's body on a scale of 1:4, SLI (Sign Language Interpreter) which conveys material according to the flow/stages of explicit instruction learning model. (2) Product development has been declared very feasible by experts with a percentage of material experts at 89.5%, media experts at 91.5%, and linguists at 89.1%. (3) Product development has been proven to be effective in teaching the deaf with an average score of 67.3 for the students' pre-test and 85.7 for the post-test. Overall, it can be concluded that the video tutorial media with explicit instruction learning model has proven to be very appropriate and effective for use as a teaching aid in pattern construction subjects for deaf students.
