Abstract

ABSTRAK Rizkah Lutfiyah Safitri, Konsep Diri Remaja Muslimah Penggemar Budaya Korea (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Islam, Universitas Negeri Jakarta), Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penyebaran budaya populer Korea secara global, termasuk di Indonesia yang memiliki mayoritas penduduk beragama Islam. Hal tersebut tidak luput dari mahasiswa muslimah Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang menunjukkan minat pada budaya populer Korea Selatan, termasuk masakan, drama, film, lagu, fashion dan gaya hidup. Dampak fenomena ini terlihat pada pengembangan konsep diri mereka. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami bagaimana konsep diri mahasiswa muslimah Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang menggemari budaya populer Korea dilihat dari perspektif Islam, baik secara kognitif maupun afektif. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap mahasiswa muslimah Pendidikan Agama Islam Universitas Negeri Jakarta yang merupakan penggemar budaya Korea, serta informan dari lingkungan mereka. Data juga dikumpulkan melalui platform seperti Google Form dan WhatsApp. Teori yang dijadikan dasar meliputi konsep diri, perkembangan remaja muslimah, dan pengaruh budaya populer Korea. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa pandangan diri mahasiswa muslimah ini terhadap budaya Korea tercermin dalam tindakan-tindakan kognitif dan afektif dalam persepektif Islam, misalnya menggali arti lagu K-Pop, mempertimbangkan nilai-nilai Islam saat menonton drama, memeriksa kehalalan makanan Korea, mengenakan pakaian ala Korea dengan tetap memperhatikan aurat, serta memeriksa komposisi bahan produk skincare dan makeup Korea sebelum melakukan pembelian. This research is motivated by the spread of Korean popular culture globally, including in Indonesia which has a Muslim majority population. This did not go unnoticed by Muslim female students of Islamic Religious Education at Jakarta State University who showed an interest in South Korean popular culture, including cuisine, drama, film, song, fashion and lifestyle. The impact of this phenomenon can be seen in the development of their self-concept. The main objective of this study is to understand how the self-concept of Muslim female students of Islamic Religious Education at Jakarta State University who are fond of Korean popular culture is seen from an Islamic perspective, both cognitively and affectively. The research method applied is descriptive qualitative, with data collection through observation and interviews with Muslim female students of Islamic Religious Education at Jakarta State University who are fans of Korean culture, as well as informants from their environment. Data is also collected via platforms such as Google Forms and WhatsApp. The theory used as the basis includes self-concept, the development of young Muslim women, and the influence of Korean popular culture. The results of the study indicate that this Muslim female student's self-view of Korean culture is reflected in cognitive and affective actions from an Islamic perspective, for example exploring the meaning of K-Pop songs, considering Islamic values when watching dramas, checking Korean food for halal, wearing Korean-style clothing. while still paying attention to the private parts, and checking the composition of Korean skincare and makeup products before making a purchase.
