Abstract

Kesadaran lingkungan maritim (environmental awareness) pada anak usia dini masih rendah dan kurangnya media untuk kegaiatan belajar mengajar, hal tersebut diketahui berdasarkan hasil studi awal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media permainan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan maritim anak usia 5 – 6 tahun di Lombok Barat. Media ini berasal dari permainan engklek yang awalnya terbuat dari bahan alam dan langkah – langkah permainannya yang sederhana kemudian dijadikan suatu aktivitas kegiatan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan maritim yang berbahan dasar banner. Pengembangan media permainan engklek maritim menggunakan model ADDIE. Uji efektivitas media permaianan engklek maritim dilakukan dengan metode pre-experimental dengan one group pre-tetst-posttest design, jumlah responden sebanyak 30 anak. Hasil analisis perbedaan total pretest dan posttest menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan maritim anak sebesar 47%. Kemudian analisis statistik paired sample t-test dihitung dengan aplikasi statistik SPSS 16 memperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 26,815 dengan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 sehingga 0,000<0,05. Sedangkan nilai ttabel sebesar 2,04 dengan n-1=29. Dengan demikian thitung>ttabel sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media permainan engklek maritim efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan pada anak usia 5 – 6 tahun. Maritime environmental awareness (environmental awareness) in early childhood is still low and there is a lack of media for teaching and learning activities, this is known based on the results of early studies. This study aims to develop media games to increase awareness of the maritime environment for children aged 5-6 years in West Lombok. This media comes from the crank game which was originally made from natural materials and the simple game steps were then used as an activity to increase environmental awareness made from banner. The development of maritime hopscotch game media uses the ADDIE model. Testing the effectiveness of the maritime hopscotch game media was carried out by the method pre-experimental by one group pretest-posttest design, with the number of respondents as many as 30 children. Results of total difference analysis pretest and posttest shows an increase in children's maritime environmental awareness by 47%. Then statistical analysis paired sample t-test calculated using the SPSS 16 statistical application to obtain a calculated t value of 26,815 with a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 so that 0.000 <0.05. While the t table value is 2.04 with n-1 = 29. Thus t count>t table so that it can be concluded that the use of the maritime hopscotch game media is effectively used to increase environmental awareness in children aged 5-6 years.
