Abstract

ABSTRAK Alfina Damayanti, Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning terhadap Keterampilan Komunikasi Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran PPKn. Skripsi. Jakarta : Program Studi Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2023. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari Model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan komunikasi siswa pada mata pelajaran PPKn khususnya di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Jakarta. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen ini melibatkan 62 siswa dengan jumlah populasi sebanyak 284 dengan pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar pengamatan observasi melalui catatan peneliti. Selain itu diperkuat dengan penggunaan angket dengan menggunakan skala likert untuk mengetahui keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Instrumen berupa angket yang dibuat selanjutnya diuji sehingga menghasilkan 27 pernyataan yang valid dan reliabel. Kemudian, data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas agar mampu memenuhi uji prasayarat analisis data. Hasil uji prasayarat data dinyatakan normal dan homogen sehingga layak untuk dilakukannya pengujian hipotesis. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t atau independent sample t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi (2-failed) sebesar 0,001 < 0,005 yang artinya Ha diterima. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui besaran pengaruh dilakukan uji Cohen’s dan diperoleh nilai 0,884 yang masuk dalam kategori besar. Maka dari itu, berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang besar dalam penggunaan model Problem Based Learning terhadap keterampilan komunikasi siswa pada mata pelajaran PPKn khususnya di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Jakarta. Jakarta: Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Science, Jakarta State University, 2023 The purpose of this research is to know the effect of the problem based learning model on student's communication skills in the Pancasila and Civic education subject especially in 8th grade on SMP Negeri 7 Jakarta.This quantitative research that used the experimental method is involving 62 students from 284 student as the population of the research with the selection of samples using a purposive technique sampling. The instrument is used observation sheets based on research notes. Moreover, it was strengthened by using a questionnaire that used a Likert scale to measure student's communication skills. The instrument is a questionnaire that has been made and then tested that produces 27 valid and reliable statements. After that, the data that has obtained and then analyzed it used the normality and homogeneity test to produce results for the data analysis prerequisite test. The results of the hypothesis by the t-test or independent sample t-test show a significance value (2-failed) of 0.001 <0.005, which means that Ha is accepted. Furthermore, to determine the magnitude of the effect, the Cohen's test was carried out and a value of 0.884 was obtained which was included in the large category. Therefore, based on the results of this research it can be concluded that there is a big effect in the use of the Problem Based Learning model on student's communication skills in Pancasila and Civic education subjects, especially in 8th grade on SMP Negeri 7 Jakarta Keywords: learning model, communication skill, Pancasila and Civic Education
