Abstract

Persoalan mengenai karakter merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang selalu menjadi fokus perhatian setiap satuan pendidikan termasuk di SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan bagaimana proses implementasi Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Nilai-Nilai Kristiani (PKBN2K) dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah di SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menguraikan tentang strategi guru sejarah dalam membentuk lulusan yang berkarakter profil BEST, serta juga menjelaskan kendala-kendala yang dialami oleh guru sejarah dalam mengimplementasikan PKBN2K dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian dilakukan di dua unit sekolah yaitu SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR (Paledang) dan SMA Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR BOGOR (Sentul). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Sedangkan untuk menguji keabsahan data menggunakan sistem triangulasi, dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah model interaktif. Adapun penelitian ini dilakukan pada mata pelajaran Sejarah Peminatan kelas 11 IPS, dan melibatkan guru sejarah dan peserta didik. Adapun hasil dan kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) implementasi PKBN2K dalam pembelajaran sejarah melalui tiga tahapan utama yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap evaluasi; 2) strategi guru sejarah dalam membentuk lulusan dengan karakter profil BEST di SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR antara lain melalui keteladanan guru sejarah, pembelajaran sejarah kontekstual, pendekatan humanis dalam pembelajaran sejarah, dan konsistensi guru sejarah sebagai pendidik; dan 3) adapun kendala-kendala yang dialami guru sejarah dalam mengimplementasikan PKBN2K dalam pembelajaran sejarah antara lain berkaitan dengan beban mengajar, materi ajar yang membludak, perbedaan persepsi antara guru dan peserta didik, dan peserta didik yang kurang kooperatif. The issue of character is one of the problems that always receives attention in every educational institution, including at SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR. Therefore, this research aims to elaborate on the process of implementing Character Education Based on Christian Values (PKBN2K) in the history learning process at SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR. Additionally, this study also describes the history teachers’ strategies in shaping graduates wih the BEST character profile and explains the challenges experienced by history teachers in implementing PKBN2K in history learning. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, conducted in two schools, namely SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR (Paledang) and SMA Nasional Plus BPK PENABUR BOGOR (Sentul). Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documents. Triangulation is used to test the validity of the data, and the data analysis techniques used is an interactive model. This research is carried out in the History Elective subject for grade 11 Social Sciences students, involving history teachers and students. The results and conclusions of this study are: 1) the implementation of PKBN2K in history learning through three main stages, namely preparation, implementation, and evaluation; 2) history teachers’ strategies in forming graduates with the BEST character profile at SMA BPK PENABUR BOGOR include through the role model of history teachers, contextual history learning, humanistic approaches in history learning, and the consistency of history teachers as educators; and 3) the challenges faced by history teachers in implementing PKBN2K in history learning are related to teaching workload, overwhelming teaching materials, differences in perception between teachers and students, and less cooperative students.
