Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan membaca siswa di sekolah dasar membuat membaca menjadi salah satu keterampilan berbahasa yang perlu diperhatikan di Indonesia. Pengembangan kemampuan membaca permulaan hendaknya dilakukan sejak awal memasuki sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan produk buku movable yang diberi nama “Aku Bisa Baca” untuk pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) menurut William W. Lee dan Diana L. Owens dengan tahapan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kelayakan buku movable “Aku Bisa Baca” mendapat nilai 100% berkategori sangat layak oleh ahli materi, nilai 100% berkategori sangat layak oleh ahli bahasa, nilai 94,2% berkategori sangat layak oleh ahli media, serta rata-rata penilaian oleh siswa kelas I SD pada uji coba satu-satu (one to one) diperoleh 97,2% berkualifikasi sangat baik, pada uji coba kelompok kecil (small group) diperoleh 98,6% berkualifikasi sangat baik, dan pada uji coba lapangan (field group) diperoleh 96,4% berkualifikasi sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku movable “Aku Bisa Baca” memiliki kelebihan-kelebihan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa kelas I SD. Melalui produk buku movable yang dikembangkan, siswa kelas I dapat belajar membaca permulaan dengan media yang sesuai karakteristik siswa kelas I SD. Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian dan pengembangan ini telah menghasilkan produk buku movable “Aku Bisa Baca” yang berkualifikasi baik dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SD. Kata Kunci: Membaca Permulaan; Movable Book; Metode SAS; Kelas I SD. ***** The low reading ability of students in elementary school makes reading one of the language skills that need to be considered in Indonesia. Development of early reading skills should be done from the beginning of entering elementary school. This research aims to develop a movable book product called "Aku Bisa Baca" for early reading learning for first-grade students of elementary school students. The research method used is research and development (R&D) according to William W. Lee and Diana L. Owens with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) stages. The results of this research indicate that the average feasibility of the movable book "Aku Bisa Baca" was rated 100% in the very appropriate category by material experts, 100% in the very appropriate category by linguists, 94.2% in the very appropriate category by media experts, and the average by first grade elementary school students in the one-to-one trial obtained 97.2% qualified very well, in the small group trial obtained 98.6% qualified very well, and in the field trials (field group) obtained 96.4% qualified very well. The results showed that the movable book "Aku Bisa Baca" has advantages that are in accordance with the needs and characteristics of the first-grade students in elementary school. Through the developed movable book, the first-grade students in elementary school can learn early reading with media that fits the characteristics of first-grade elementary school students. Therefore, it can be concluded that this research and development has produced a movable book product "Aku Bisa Baca" which is well qualified and suitable for use in learning to early reading for first-grade students in elementary school.
