Abstract

***** The high market demand and the wide range of markets for certain goods or commodities make the container terminal increasingly busy, which can affect This influence can have an impact on the optimization of the use of the stacking field and the available dock capacity. To support the smooth running of loading and unloading activities, the terminal needs to pay attention to the ability to handle the dock, the stacking field and the ability of loading and unloading equipment in loading and unloading activities. Data analysis in this study uses quantitative methods with the calculation of Berth Occupancy Ratio (BOR), Pier Capacity, Berth Throughput (BTP), Yard Occupancy Ratio (YOR), and calculation of tool capacity. Data collection is done by direct observation and documentation at TPM. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. Makassar Container Terminal (TPM) obtained BOR and YOR of 35% and 56%. The performance of the stacking field and dock can be said to be good, because it is below the UNCTAD standard of 65%. based on the calculation of the TPM dock capacity, it can still serve the flow of containers, because the dock capacity value is higher than the flow of containers. The percentage of container crane performance is 38.17% and rubber tyred gantry crane is 79.4%. By improving the performance of the equipment, the performance of the dock and stacking field will also increase.
