Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan psikososial pada Johannes Betzler yaitu karakter utama dari film Jojo Rabbit yang memiliki teman khayalan Adolf Hitler dengan menggunakan teori tahapan perkembangan psikoseksual dari Sigmund Freud. Selanjutnya studi ini menganalisis dampak perkembangan psikoseksual tersebut terhadap perubahan perspektif Jojo terhadap teman khayalannya Adolf Hitler. Selain itu, dilakukan analisis perbandingan Adolf Hitler yang ada pada imajinasi Jojo dengan sosok nyatanya dengan menggunakan New historicism oleh Stephen Greenblatt yang disajikan dengan teori struktur naratif Tzvetan Todorov yang kemudian akan dikawinkan dengan analisis perkembangan psikoseksual Jojo. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah Jojo menunjukkan tanda dirinya berada pada tahap latensi dan akan memasuki tahap genital yang merupakan tahap terakhir dari perkembangan psikoseksual. Analisis perbandingan Adolf khayalan dengan sosok nyatanya mengungkapkan bahwa meskipun Adolf khayalan merupakan gambaran imajinasi dari anak usia 10 tahun, namun pada tahap perkembangan psikoseksual Jojo ditemukan bahwa sosok Adolf Hitler lambat laun menunjukkan sisi Adolf Hitler di dunia nyata merujuk dari hasil analisis dengan menggunakan teori historisisme baru. ***** This study aims to analyze the psychosexual development of Johannes Betzler who is the main character from the Jojo Rabbit movie who has an imaginary friend Adolf Hitler using psychosexual development theory by Sigmund Freud. This study also analyzes the impact of psychosexual development on the change of perspective towards imaginary Adolf Hitler. In addition, a comparative analysis of Adolf Hitler in Jojo's imagination and his real figure is carried out using New historicism by Stephen Greenblatt which is presented with Tzvetan Todorov's narrative structure theory which will then be related with an analysis of Jojo's psychosexual development. The findings of this study is that Jojo shows a sign of himself at the latest phase of the latency stage and starting to enter genital stage which is the last stage of psychosexual development. The analysis of the comparison between Adolf's imagination and his real figure reveals that although the imaginary Adolf is a representation of a 10-year-old child's imagination, during Jojo's psychosexual developmental stage, it was found that the figure of Adolf Hitler gradually showed aspects of the real-world Adolf Hitler, referring to the results of the analysis using New Historicism theory.
