Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh body image terhadap self-disclosure pada emerging adulthood pengguna aplikasi online dating di Jabodetabek. Karakteristik sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengguna aktif aplikasi online dating (minimal 2-3 kali dalam sebulan terakhir), berada pada tahap perkembangan emerging adulthood (usia 18-29 tahun), dan berdomisili di Jakarta/ Bogor/ Depok/ Tangerang/ Bekasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu alat ukur Multidimensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) berjumlah 34 item dan Jourard Sixty Item Self-Disclosure Questionnaire (JSDQ) berjumlah 60 item. Hasil penelitian pada 201 responden ditemukan terdapat pengaruh body image terhadap self-disclosure pada emerging adulthood pengguna aplikasi online dating di Jabodetabek yang signifikan dengan nilai Sig.< 0,05. Nilai r square menunjukkan bahwa variabel body image berkontribusi sebesar 2,6% dalam memengaruhi variabel self-disclosure. Kata Kunci: Self-disclosure, Body Image, Pengguna Aplikasi Online Dating, Emerging Adulthood ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the influence of body image on self-disclosure among emerging adults who use online dating applications in the Jabodetabek area. The sample characteristics in this study are active users of online dating applications (at least 2-3 times in the last month), in the stage of emerging adulthood (aged 18-29 years), and residing in Jakarta/Bogor/Depok/Tangerang/Bekasi. This research uses a quantitative method with regression analysis. The instruments used in this study are the Multidimensional Body Self-Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) with 34 items and the Jourard Sixty Item Self-Disclosure Questionnaire (JSDQ) with 60 items. The results of the study, based on 201 respondents, indicate a significant influence of body image on self-disclosure among emerging adults who use online dating applications in the Jabodetabek area, with a significance value of Sig. < 0.05. The r-square value indicates that the body image variable contributes 2.6% to the variability in the self-disclosure variable.
