Abstract

Saat ini kondisi perilaku anak remaja sangat memprihatinkan. Kata-kata kasar seolah dijadikan kebiasaan, terutama di kalangan anak-anak dan remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pola komunikasi orang tua terhadap perilaku agresif verbal remaja di daerah Jakarta Timur. Subjek penelitian ini adalah remaja usia 12-15 tahun sebanyak 322 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan survey kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling yaitu proportionate random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas remaja memiliki orang tua dengan pola komunikasi berada pada kategori tinggi. Artinya, mayoritas orang tua telah menerapkan pola komunikasi yang dikatakan sangat baik. Mayoritas remaja memiliki perilaku agresif verbal yang berada pada kategori sedang. Artinya, mayoritas remaja cenderung melakukan agresif verbal tetapi tidak mencapai tingkat kekerasan yang tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil uji signifikansi regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai sig 0,000 < 0,005. Artinya, terdapat pengaruh signifikan pola komunikasi orang tua terhadap perilaku agresif verbal remaja. Pengaruh pola komunikasi orang tua menunjukkan arah yang negatif terhadap perilaku agresif verbal remaja. Artinya, semakin tinggi pola komunikasi orang tua akan menurunkan peluang perilaku agresif verbal remaja. Nilai koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa pola komunikasi orang tua berpengaruh sebesar 10,8% terhadap perilaku agresif verbal remaja. Orang tua memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku anak. Salah satu peran orang tua dalam membentuk perilaku anak yakni dengan menerapkan pola komunikasi yang hangat dan terbuka serta memiliki kontrol terhadap perilaku anak agar tidak terjebak dalam pergaulan negatif di lingkungan luar. Penerapan pola komunikasi yang baik dan sesuai kebutuhan anak, akan dapat mencegah perilaku agresif verbal anak di kedepannya. ***** Currently, the condition of adolescent behavior is very worrying. Harsh words seem to be a habit, especially among children and teenagers. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of parental communication patterns on verbal aggressive behavior of adolescents in the East Jakarta area. The subjects of this research were 322 teenagers aged 12-15 years. This research uses a quantitative survey with an associative approach. The sampling technique uses a probability sampling technique, namely proportionate random sampling. The research results show that the majority of teenagers have parents whose communication patterns are in the high category. This means that the majority of parents have implemented communication patterns that are said to be very good. The majority of teenagers have verbal aggressive behavior that is in the moderate category. This means that the majority of teenagers tend to be verbally aggressive but do not reach high levels of violence. Based on the results of the simple linear regression significance test, a sig value of 0.000 <0.005 was obtained. This means that there is a significant influence of parental communication patterns on adolescent verbal aggressive behavior. The influence of parental communication patterns shows a negative direction on adolescent verbal aggressive behavior. This means that the higher the parents' communication patterns, the lower the chances of teenagers' verbal aggressive behavior. The coefficient of determination value shows that parents' communication patterns have an influence of 10.8% on teenagers' verbal aggressive behavior. Parents have an important role in shaping children's behavior. One of the roles of parents in shaping children's behavior is by implementing warm and open communication patterns and having control over children's behavior so that they do not get caught up in negative associations in the external environment. Implementing good communication patterns that suit the child's needs will be able to prevent the child's verbal aggressive behavior in the future.
