Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh antara Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar (PKM) terhadap minat menjadi guru pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi UNJ. PKM adalah kegiatan yang wajib diikuti mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi UNJ sebagai persiapan mahasiswa menjadi calon guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi UNJ angkatan 2019-2020 yang berjumlah 161 mahasiswa. Adapun metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan teknik sampel acak sederhana. Kriteria responden yang telah ditetapkan yaitu mahasiswa Pendidikan Sosiologi UNJ yang sudah mengikuti kegiatan PKM di semester 117 dan 119. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 115 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara PKM dengan minat guru, sehingga hipotesis penelitian ini diterima. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa PKM berpengaruh sebesar 21% terhadap minat menjadi guru. Tingkat minat menjadi guru pada mahasiswa merupakan gambaran profesi yang akan dipilih oleh mahasiswa setelah lulus. Hasil deskripsi data menunjukkan bahwa tingkat minat menjadi guru pada sebagian besar mahasiswa berada pada ketegori sedang. Dapat disimpulkan masih terdapat keraguan pada mahasiswa untuk memilih profesi guru walaupun sudah mengikuti PKM. ***** This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between Student’s Teaching Practice (Praktik Keterampilan Mengajar) with the interest being a teacher on Sociology of Education student of Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Student’s Teaching Practice are activities that must be followed by education students as preparation for students to become prospective teachers. This research uses quantitative approach of case study type. The population in this study is Sociology of Education students who participating Student’s Teaching Practice in 117 & 119 semester which amounted to 161 students. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observation, and literature study. The results showed that there was an influence between PKM and teacher interest, so the hypothesis of this study was accepted. The results of the coefficient determination test showed that PKM had an effect of 21% on interest in becoming a teacher. The level of interest in becoming a teacher in students is a picture of the profession that students will choose after graduation. The results of the data description show that the level of teacher interest in most students is in the medium category. It can be concluded that there are still doubts in student to choose teacher profession even though they have participated in PKM.
