Abstract

***********ABSTRAK*********** Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor instrinsik, ekstrinsik, dan amotivasi yang memengaruhi motivasi peserta ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMA PESAT Kota Bogor. Topik penelitian ini dipilih karena pentingnya memahami faktor-faktor yang dapat memotivasi siswa untuk tertarik dan berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei dengan menyebarkan angket tertutup kepada peserta ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMA Pesat Kota Bogor. Sampel pada penelitian ini melibatkan 48 sampel. Instrumen minat digunakan dan disebarkan melalui google form sebanyak 32 pernyataan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa faktor instrinsik, ekstrinsik maupun amotivasi yang signifikan mempengaruhi motivasi peserta dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis. Adapun faktor yang paling dominan yaitu faktor instrinsik. Motivasi keseluruhan siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis di SMA PESAT Kota Bogor tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Dalam konteks ini, sekolah dapat meningkatkan dukungan dan fasilitas yang diberikan kepada peserta ekstrakurikuler bulutangkis, serta melibatkan guru, pelatih, orang tua, dan lingkungan dalam membentuk minat yang positif dan berkelanjutan dalam kegiatan ini. Implikasi temuan ini dapat digunakan oleh sekolah dan pihak terkait dalam merancang strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa terhadap kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, khususnya bulutangkis di SMA PESAT Kota Bogor. **********ABSTRACT*********** This research aims to analyze the intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation factors that influence the motivation of badminton extracurricular participants at SMA PESAT Kota Bogor. This research topic was chosen because of the importance of understanding the factors that can motivate students to be interested in and participate in badminton extracurricular activities. This research used a survey method by distributing closed questionnaires to badminton extracurricular participants at SMA Pesat Kota Bogor. The sample in this study involved 48 samples. The interest instrument used and distributed via Google Forms was 32 statements. The research results show that several intrinsic, extrinsic, and amotivation factors significantly influence participants' motivation to participate in badminton extracurricular activities. The most dominant factor is the intrinsic factor. The overall motivation of students in participating in badminton extracurriculars at SMA PESAT Kota Bogor is classified as medium. In this context, schools can improve the support and facilities provided to badminton extracurricular participants, and involve teachers, coaches, parents, and the environment in forming a positive and sustainable interest in this activity. The implications of these findings can be used by schools and related parties in designing effective strategies to increase student motivation towards extracurricular activities, especially badminton at SMA PESAT High School Kota Bogor
