Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS menggunakan penerapan Model Pembelajaran CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada kelas VIII 5 SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta karena hasil belajar peserta didik dikelas tersebut dapat dikatakan rendah. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII 5 SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta yang terdiri dari 36 peserta didik. Penelitian ini berlangsung dalam 3 siklus, tiap siklus terdiri dari 3 kali pertemuan. Penelitian dimulai dari tanggal 20 maret hingga 15 mei 2019.teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui hasil posttest peserta didik. Keberhasilan tindakan ini adalah jika rata-rata hasil belajar/posttest peserta didik yang berhasil mencapai KKM hingga 80%. Adapun KKM mata pelajaran IPS ialah 76. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penerapan Model Pembelajaran CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition) mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPS. Hal tersebut terbukti dengan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor peserta didik di setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus 1 sebesar 47% (17 peserta didik) yang mencapai nilai diatas KKM 76 dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 69,77, siklus 2 menjadi 64% (23 peserta didik) mencapai nilai diatas KKM 76 dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 75,30, dan siklus 3 menjadi 83% (30 Peserta didik) mencapai nilai diatas KKM 76 dengan rata-rata hasil belajar 78,33. Selain itu, data penelitian lain yang diperoleh yakni dalam peningkatan keaktifan peserta didik dalam bertanya, menjawab, berpendapat, dan menentukan ide pokok. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa Model Pembelajaran CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik dalam mata pelajaran IPS diatas KKM 76 dan juga dapat meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik seperti dalam hal kemampuan bertanya, menjawab, berpendapat, dan menentukan ide pokok. This study aims to determine efforts to improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects using the application of the CIRC Learning Model (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition). This research was conducted in class VIII 5 of SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta because the learning outcomes of the students in this class can be said to be low. This research is a Classroom Action Research with research subjects, namely VIII 5 students of SMP Negeri 96 Jakarta consisting of 36 students. This research took place in 3 cycles, each cycle consisting of 3 meetings. The study began from 20 March to 15 May 2019. The data collection techniques used in this study were through the results of students' post-tests. The success of this action is if the average learning outcomes / posttest of students who achieve KKM up to 80%. The KKM of social studies is 76. Based on the results of the study showed that the application of the Learning Model CIRC (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition) is able to improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects. This is evidenced by an increase in the average score of students in each cycle. In cycle 1 amounted to 47% (17 students) who achieved grades above KKM 76 with an average learning outcome of 69.77, cycle 2 to 64% (23 students) achieving scores above KKM 76 with an average learning result of 75, 30, and cycle 3 to 83% (30 Student) achieved grades above KKM 76 with an average learning outcome of 78.33. In addition, other research data obtained namely in increasing the activeness of students in asking, answering, opinions, and determining the main ideas. Based on the data obtained it can be concluded that the CIRC Learning Model (Cooperative, Integrated, Reading, Composition) can improve student learning outcomes in social studies subjects above KKM 76 and can also increase the activeness of students such as in terms of the ability to ask, answer, think, and determine the main idea.
