Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan motivasi belajar dengan stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak responden yang merupakan mahasiswa yang bekerja berusia 18-24 tahun. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel independen motivasi belajar, diukur menggunakan instrumen Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) yang dibuat oleh Pintrich (1991). Dependen variabel stres akademik, diukur menggunakan instrumen Perception of Academic Stres Scale (PAS) yang dibuat oleh Bedewy dan Gabriel (2015). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dari 98 responden ditemukan bahwa nilai signifikansi (Sig.) 0,514 lebih besar > dari probabilitas 0,05 (Sig. 0,514 > 0,50). Dengan demikian hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) ditolak, sedangkan hipotesis nol (H0) diterima, yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara variabel motivasi belajar dengan variabel stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang bekerja. ***** This research aims to determine the relationship between learning motivation and academic stress in working students. The sample in the study was as many respondents who were working students aged 18-24 years. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The independent variable of learning motivation, measured using the Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) instrument created by Pintrich (1991). The dependent variable of academic stress measured using the perception of Academic Stress Scale (PAS) instrument created by Bedewy and Gabriel (2015). Based on the results of research conducted from 98 respondents it was found that the significance value (Sig.) 0,514 was greater > from the probability of 0,05 (Sig. 0,514 > 0,50). With this the results show that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is rejected, while the null hypothesis (H0) is accepted, which means that there is no relationship between learning motivation variables and academic stress variables in working students.
